Blue Bayou and Dixie Landin' Tour & Review 

A boomerang being the tallest and fastest operating coaster in Louisiana is a sad realization. Jazzland needs to come back.

BELIEVE DAT!! i was a ride operator at cedar point is past summr and let me tell yah i learned a hell out alot about the themeing of a park, the different attractions and most importantly the whole management of a theme park. i want to to bring back the amusement culture back to my home state and let it be known in the history books that LOUISIANA WILL BE THE AMUSEMENT PARK CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!!!! #ComingSoon

It’s only $40 for two days and that includes the waterpark and the rollercoaster section. And parking is $5. Best deal in the country really

the water park is spectacular, but could use a paint job on some of the slides... the dry park tho..i remember coming here as a kid and having so much fun, but wow those rides look rusty and like theyre falling apart..

I love how empty the park is normally. If you go on a day when it is somewhat cloudy and there are really few people we can just ride things like the log ride over and over till we get bored because there is nobody waiting to get on the ride.

Thanks for uploading this review been waiting for it. Use to work at the park back in 2008 as a Ride Operator. Miss working here but it’s just not the same. This was my first job. And not my last theme park job. And yes those wires on the races worry me a lot. There not supposed to be expose. The Mechanics shop never was fence off when I work at the park. Which to me it should be fence off but that’s just how they run things. That empty pad looks like that’s where Extreme Roller coaster use to be at. You didn’t talk about that ride. But who knows what they are bringing in 2019. Just glad they took that ride out. Hopefully they can get things up to pair as reviews talk about how things are going down hill. Great park loved going there. The Summer concerts were great back in 2008. In 2009 they change putting in a Lazer light show then in 2015 they brought back the summer concert series. One of which pack the park with Panic at the Disco. But it was at its height in early 2000s-2010. Like I said times have change since I last work there

Lol. At one time this park and the one I worked at were the only two parks in Louisiana. Sadly the one I worked at closed in 1999. Glad to see one of the two outlasted Jazz Land/ Six Flags New Orleans

Ragin Cajun looks unusually slow... just crawling through the inversions. Ironically, I’ve never been on a boomerang. The only one I’ve been near was head spin at geauga lake but I was too small to ride it and now there are none near me!

What’s sad is that the last coaster we got was Xtreme in 2013 which is now closed, so.. Gotta love Louisiana...

In the early 2000s, my family had season passes and it was a lot of fun but this park is not going to be open for long. I drove by the other day and the dry rides (Dixie Landin') are not running & very few water slides are open, the Voodoo, Moccasin and other water slides are closed but they charge the same amount as if all the slides are open.....

Did you know the Boomerang ride was originally from Wales in UK where it was a popular attraction on what we over here call a holiday camp? It’s over 30 years old….

The layout on that tractor coaster does look really good for what it is. Looks like a great 'lil' thoosies step up coaster.

As an coaster enthusiast I think they need to update dixie Landin but I do love this because it’s my home park

i lived in only 5 mins away so i would come here all the time it was so much fun i remember so much of this and just walking around

Just got back from it today and it was awesome!

I remember coming here for mothers day one year when I was little. My favorite ride was the xtreme roller coaster.

Good memories at this park....that pirate ride on Dixie side made me throw up when I was a kid

The theme park doesn't look very exciting, but I think the water park looks awesome. So for that reason alone, I will go there.

They could atleast clean the slides up.. They look like crap makes me wonder if they are maintained at all..

yall no lie this video makes it look so unsafe... exposed wires, having to push coasters into position, etc. hope they fix the important stuff cause my boomer mom was riding some of that stuff when she was a kid back at fun fair park.
