This is a highly requested video and has been on the list for a few years. I do have an older video with the same information here: • Blue Bear Flutes: Maki...
In this video I will show you the basic information you need to make an eagle whistle. This can sound like either a hawk or an eagle and is a fun (but very loud) way to pass the time! We get people from all over who use their whistles for a number of various reasons which include keeping hawks out of the chicken pen, wildlife photography, Department of Wildlife management using them counting the number of birds in a given range and more. Make your own and see what you can do with it!

At 72 years of age I have followed your you tube videos. I have made a few flutes most of which my daughter takes away to play. Thank you for the pleasure you have given me by sharing your skill and knowledge.

You are so masterful! I am mesmerized with your playing. Stumbled here to make a whistle for a young friend. He knew I whittled ‘ sticks’ so he brought me one to make a knife or sword. Being five it is his obsession. I explained that his mother would not like that and he left the stick. I made a poor effort with the stick he provided but the sound was feeble. He asked for a better one and here I am. After making three eagle whistles I have a reasonable facsimile that works. Thank you. I had to rotate the plug about 45 degrees to get the to work. I think I will attempt a flute next.

As it is similarly with any fine powdered high carbon content material. Some set more quickly and some more slowly however I like to use something in between. It gives me time to change its position in the drying process if necessary.

Excellent video! I also like the subject matter. Honestly? You are brilliant and talented! I also appreciate your making it clear you were in NO competion with anyone. On the down side, you are critical and whiney while you ramble a bit. I don't care much for your unnatural earlobes either. But I'm, just an old fart. By the end of the video, I realize you to also be subtly hilarious!
@BlueBearFlutes

It's funny that you call me "critical" and your entire comment is only bashing my person, with nothing said about my video. Irony? (What the hell did you write "Honestly?" for?)

I apologize. I certainly wasn't trying to be hurtful or insulting. I was giving you my honest opinion of the video. I appreciated the video first thing and watched the whole half hour. I just considered you a quirky talent, and - apparently clumsily - expressed that to you. I'm sincerely sorry I offended you.@@BlueBearFlutes

What is the necklace you’re wearing made of
@BlueBearFlutes
@BlueBearFlutes 9 месяцев назад
In Mexico the green stone is called "the mother of jade", the red stone is red Pipestone from Minnesota and the skull in the middle is one of the hardest stones in the world - fire agate. Thanks for asking! (They're definitely not made of wood 😉 )

@@BlueBearFlutes Well you have said a couple times that you can make a flute out of anything. Maybe I took it too literal lol I found a branch and split it. Carved out a good 1/2 hole but no sound. Branch is 3/4-1". Am I wasting my time? I just thought I'd try. I like wood working saw a video and was like, I bet I can do that lol
@BlueBearFlutes
@BlueBearFlutes Год назад
@Ezra & Luna wasting your time is a matter of perspective. People have been making branch flutes for the last 30-40 years, I do have a video on that and the biggest problem you may have is keeping the seams sealed. Most branches you find are also very porous and will need to be sealed for that as well. Otherwise a lot of people like the look of a branch flute. If this is your first flute it may prove to be a little more difficult to make it. If it is your first, I would recommend setting it down, practicing on some miscellaneous materials for a while and then come back to it when your skills are more honed.

Skills❌ Safety ❌ Commen sens ❌ The pure AUDACITY to try anyways ✅ Guess this it just the project for me 🩸🩸🩸🤕 🤣 ( I was warned ) I got a bluebear flute a couple of years back for my birthday, delivered all the way from USA, to me in Denmark, it has a beautiful sound and arrived super fast. I don't know about the cost as it was a gift, but I do know it wasn't astronomic as my guy is a conscious spender (aka quality seeking cheap ass).
