Xolo Maridueña leads a beautiful cast of latino and diverse actors, telling the story of how a whole family responds to one of their own facing truly remarkable odds.
Not only are the action sequences super exciting but they seem tethered to a wholesome story that should stand the test of time. Blue Beetle moves like a power ranger and even has moments of resembling The Guyver…anyone know about the Guyver? Manga by Yoshiki Takaya? Not a very good movie but super cool concept…
On August 18th we will finally meet Jaime Reyes and his family on the BIG SCREEN. So glad this will not be in streaming when first released…

DC Blue Beetle trailer looks amazing! It's great to see a lesser known hero getting their own movie and the special effects look top-notch. The casting is spot on and I can't wait to see the chemistry between the characters. The plot looks action-packed and I'm excited to see where the story takes us. This trailer has definitely piqued my interest and I can't wait to watch the movie! 🤩🤩🤩

It means so much to me that we have a latino super hero. Seeing the family part of the movie means alot. Specially when you come from a big family... you know aunts uncles are more involved then you sometimes want them to be haha. The movie has some high expectations from me now.

hey as a brazilian i'm soooo happy with this trailer, so the girl that jaime call jenny is a brazilian actress (Bruna marquezine) she is acting since child and is sooo good im loving her launch her internacional career, another fun fact this is the third version of blue beetle, and the rumor on the internet is that jenny is the daughter of the second blue beetle

ALot of easter eggs in the trailer. It appears Jaime's sister works for Kord industries and Ted Kord was the 2nd Blue Beetle, Jaime is now the 3rd Blue Beetle. Big Belly Burger is the burger franchise of dc comics. It appears in alot of dc tv shows. Raoul Trujillo is the villain, Carapax the Indestructible Man while Susan Sarandon is playing Ted Kords sister, Victoria Kord. The scarab who is a sentient being is not necessarily evil but its not a good guy. Jaime's loving personality influences the scarab and the scarab and it's somewhat evil tendencies influence Jaime as well. Trailer looks great but im hoping the 2nd trailer gives more backstory to the scarab and Blue Beetle's history as well.

@@MaJeliv i honestly feel rlly excited about this being on the big screen bs the vibe I got from this trailer is all new and fresh something we haven’t seen before, a character we haven’t seen before from DC. In the future I want to find some big organizations and studios bc I’ve been wanting to become an actor for yrs when I was in kindergarten. And the motivation I get is my friends and family. And from watching this trailer it shows a lot of heart from Jamie’s family and motivation from his uncle which I’m so excited to see George Lopez I’m this movie watching this trailer seeing the motivation and heart they face is personal for me bc I have my friends and family motivation to succeed and I have a feeling and scene like that will be in this film. But over all I can’t wait for this film Blue beetle Jamie Reyes Xolo suits this character a lot I can’t wait for this and I can’t wait for the future.

As someone who is half Latino I’ve been waiting for years to see this character on the big screen, and IT LOOKS FREAKING AWESOME! Dude, Jaime can make a freaking *Buster Sword* from FF7⚔️!!!! Blue Beetle was one of my absolute favorite characters to play as in Injustice 2, and his character in general was funny and endearing; and somehow they made him even cooler.

I'm fan of Blue Beetle from Young Justice and the character is amazing. Young Justice is amazing, especially the first two seasons, a must watch!! I first saw Xolo on Parenthood and thought he was an amazing young actor - I hope this shines his light even more!

I know nothing about Blue Beetle, but this looks great. I'm so happy for Xolo. I got to meet him at RICC (along with much of the Cobra Kai cast) and he is the nicest guy. Hopefully this does well and can continue under the new DC universe, since this is disconnected from the previous DCEU. Even if it doesn't continue under the new DC universe, it could still continue under the new Elseworlds banner, like the sequels to The Batman and Joker.

I was introduced to Blue Beetle in Batman: The Brave and the Bold. I also met Black and Green in Young Justice. At least Jaime doesn’t have to keep it a secret from his family. Also, I didn’t know George Lopez was involved. This film might end up being funnier than I thought. If I were to put Xolo in the MCU, he’d be Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099. And I’d make Mary Mouser the next Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat.

Hello. As a fan of Blue Beetle, I'm here to tell you, just by the trailer alone, this is a perfect adaption of the character. Jaime Reyes is a newer Blue Beetle, who came into existence in 2006, but Blue Beetle the character has been around since 1939. So, the character is decades older than Spider-Man. You have Dan Garrett (who was a Patrolman), Ted Kord (As in Kord Industries, who was a genius and a brilliant fighter, gifted) and Jaime Reyes (who is a smart kid, who comes across a scarab, technology meant to destroy planets, alien in nature). Jaime is unique from the other Blue Beetles, because he actually has world destroying powers, which come from the sacrab. Also, there are other scarabs, some even crazier than Jaime's. Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle is meant to be DC's Spider-Man, but only that interpretation, because the others are older than Spider-Man. The 1940 arc is what started it all, I think like 60 issues. Terrance knows whats up, and can steer you in the right direction. Xolo is perfect casting for this character...period. TERRANCE OUT

Guyver is a Japanese Manga about an Alien Battle Suit fuse with a teenage boy, later adapted in 3 animated versions Guyver was adapted in a live action, the 1st was a Theatrical release with Mark Hamil Co star. Sequel is a direct to video now R18 and improved so much from previous played by Solid Snake VA David Hayter

I share everyone's excitement about this movie, and I can't wait to see Xolo Maridueña hit the big screen as Blue Beetle! I love the family dynamic in a good superhero movie, and this one marks a major change in having Jaime's family know his secret identity right away and being there for him on his journey. I'm fairly confident that this movie will shake the status quo and put DC on top, not on the level of Marvel Studios yet but it will be a strong start like when they took a risk with Iron Man 15 years ago

It’s very much like Guyver except Guyver doesn’t have an AI copilot and Blue Beatle does but in the comics the AI is kind of a Terminator mentality, it wants to kill anyone in its way. I think they may substitute the blood lust of the AI with naivety. We see Ted Cord’s vehicle the Bug in the trailer, Cord was another Blue Beatle , the second one, before Jaime takes on the mantle. Susan Sarandon is playing Ted’s older sister Victoria and according to Sarandon she does not have good intentions for Jaime. We do not know if Ted is alive but Jaime gets access to his lair with all of his suits and weapons and a Bug. This story looks to be playing out differently than the books so we will see how they handle Jaime’s family’s response to the suit.

I get that you guys were super excited to see all the amazing things that DC comes up with. I am too. But I couldn't understand a single thing that the actors were saying despite turning up the volume of my mobile to full. If you guys would just try to contain your excitement until after the video ends that would be super. But other than that it is always a pleasure watching trailers and other videos with you.
