Because listening to this genre of country music makes it seem as if country folk Americans are the most pure hearted people and we foreigners just a bunch of impure mongrels 😅. zombillymays I am black and for me there was good ole days. Days when my dad took us to the movies and out to dinner every Sunday. Christmas when my dad would take the whole family on an exotic trip. I remember the days when one of my father's right hand men would take me to boarding school and my father would pick me up on the weekends. I remember the pajama parties me and my friends would have for birthdays. The cars, and swimming pools my father bought for me and my husband. The trips me and my husband would take to Vegas all expenses paid by my father. Those were the good ole days for me! The song for me is bittersweet because I first heard the song a month before my father passed from complications with back surgery. Yes I am a black woman that had experiences that many whites and blacks would dream that they could have. So there you go, some of us blacks know what it is to experience the good ole days!
