Wow. And there I was thinking the Bob Mintzer interpretation was fire. That’s the best rendition I’ve ever heard and that drum solo absolutely blew me away. Korosho! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Try this version (it's my fave): J.J. Johnson from his Quintergy CD - go 4 min., 45 sec. in for Blue Bossa - see ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MoYmdoOoOto.html.
@@glennwisniewski9536 Hey.. Thank you much... I consider the info something that the poster should include... I'm aware of Dorham and Henderson.. And that helps me put the piece in a context and therefore appreciate the performance more.
I have not heard anything quite like this before. These musicians are natural and deeply sincere with this kind of music. I so wished I heard them live and was allowed to express my appreciation. Ivan - Brisbane Australia
This sax player is excellent, but I think Bob Mintzer's improvised solo on this number, was without a doubt the most inventive and melodically superior to any sax player I've heard to date.
I see you in the video and I feel that you do not want your concert to end with this great drummer that you have the pleasure of playing with! I love him, like Niels Pentelsen the bassist! Magic!
