May i ask a question? In most liquid nitrogen videos here on youtube, frozen thing loses it's bendability, and it breaks whenever it's tried to be bent. Butterfly's wings seem like they can easily bend after frozen in liquid nitrogen. I assume, break happens when frozen thing was wet. Could we assume that there is no water in those wings? Could fully dry cloth also bend if it's dipped into liquid nitrogen, or would it still break apart?
Hey I would be interested in knowing if the same effect can be achieved towards the opposite side of the spectrum. Like if you were to sumberge the wings in liquid nitrogen or methanol (so as to fill the air pockets and get rid of the air) and then put the wings in a chamber with a lighter gas -nitrogen or helium for example- could you get the wing color to move towards a more purpleish hue? Also what would it take for them to go from green to say red?
@@TommyTechnetium Actually I just wanted to congratulate you on how well you've been able to use the shorts to get more people interested in your stuff, the format of you doing an experiment or a magic trick and then linking to a video where you explain how it was done is absolutely genius when used with RU-vid shorts. Really happy to see a channel and creator that making really fun and knowledgeable educational content benefit from the shorts... because I've seen so many absolute scam, misinformation and hateful channels and users using the shorts as a trap to get people to subscribe to their channels and then all their longer videos are horrible conspiracy stuff, crypto scams and completely unhinged hateful BS... Glad to see someone so deserving benefit for that system every now and then, keep up the great work! (If you make a Patreon I at least would be more than willing to donate a few € every month to help you save up for some minor improvements to your production value, like maybe a higher quality microphone and some acoustic panels to get your voiceover to sound even a bit nicer and more professionally produced sounding (even some fairly cheap studio microphones coupled with a few cheap acoustic panels you'd get your voice to sound much smoother by getting rid of basically all echo) I'm sorry if me offering you such advice comes of as pushy (we Finns are rarely this upfront with people, hell we often need to know the person before we even use more than one or two words answers or statements and even then only if you engage us first 😂), I just have several friends and family in the television, radio and audio engineering fields and I've asked them advice for building a small home audio studio for recording music and maybe a podcast or some voiceover stuff or even making simple RU-vid videos and whenever I see a smaller channel (especially ones such as yours that are clearly picking up steam) that I feel could really do some good if they reached a larger audience I just feel compelled to try and give them a tip or two if I notice areas in their production methods that could gain huge improvements just from a few very cheap and low effort optimisations to the production methods. If you have any questions I'd be more than happy to help you with some resources with information about about cheap and easy to implement production improvements. I do everything on my iPhone...video, voiceover, editing. Any instructional videos you could point me to would be very helpful. And remember...I know next to nothing about this stuff
@@TommyTechnetium I'll check what good looking free resources I could find on using a free video editor software to replace the audio on your video with a separately recorded voice over (just recording your voice over separately even with your iPhone but in your clothing closet, where the clothes would act as great completely free sound dampening while you research what sort of permanent recording setup you might want to setup for yourself, would give you a much better sounding voiceover) I'll try to look for some good resources for you during the next few days, where would you like for me to send the links? Wow! Mother Nature at its best! Are you familiar with Daniel Hirst and his natural butterfly paintings? Do you know the process for preserving the colors when used in paintings? For example placing the butterfly wings on top of a canvas above the actual paint? Or a sealer for it to preserve its color upon a work of art that is not epoxy or resin or the likes?
