Those were some heavyweights on the hand lines 👌💯 Surprised the pelicans and seagulls didn't eat all those dead fish on that dock 🤔 Sam, you really have the Midas touch with the hand lines, you catch so many chunky crabs that way. Great catch! 👍
So sad when people don't respect things. No reason for that mess to be left on that pier like that. Laziness. On a more positive note, great for you guys that you got some crabs after a few tries. Enjoy the fruit of your labours my friends. So happy to see you Sam and Joyce I enjoy your videos very much!
You are absolutely right! Some people either never had any decent raising, forgot what their parents tried to teach them or just plain sorry. What a shame!
Lol 😂 Sam that crab went flying out of the net!! Joyce’s laughter was so funny. Shame on people for not cleaning up after themselves 😢 My goodness those were some big crabs 🦀 Thank you for sharing I enjoyed this video for sure 😘😘😘
No way was that crab going to stay in that trap lol. We've been lucky lately and catching some big crabs, in Florida and Mississippi. Always nice hearing from you
I live in Rosedale, MD, which is in Eastern Baltimore County. My home is a block off of a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. When hand lining for hard crabs, I use a wire crab net. That way the crabs are easier to get out of the the net. Also here in Baltimore, we steam our crabs whole. I always ice down the crabs before steaming. In the steamer pot, I put water, vinegar and a beer. Then the steamer rack goes in making sure the liquid is below the rack. Now you can pick up the ''frozen'' crabs up with your hands! I lay the crabs in layers. After layering the bottom, season. Now add the 2nd layer and season, until the pot is full or after all the crabs you have are in the pot. I season my crabs with Old Bay, J.O. #2 Crab Spice and yellow ground mustard. You guys are awesome. Just felt like letting you know how I steam and catch crabs!, here in Baltimore! Thanks Wil Z.
I had a wire crank net years ago when we lived in New Jersey but I can't seem to find one here in Florida. We sometimes use ice to make them lethargic. We got into the habit of cleaning our crabs before cooking them when we lived in N.J. the area we lived in was so polluted at the time ( the 70's ) that the state recommended cleaning them so they were safer to eat. Thanks for the tips and Thanks for Watching
I always enjoy watching you and Joyce crabbing you always have so much fun even when you don't get a lot of crabs keep up the awesome videos thank you for sharing your videos
Nice Crabs, I know that's good eating. I love how Sam cleaned the Crabs they looks so delicious, Joyce really can cook. Enjoy life guys, I live in Forest, Mississippi, and I visit Jacksonville maybe 2 times a year. My twins' sons lives there.
Sam and Joyce, I enjoy watching and listening to you two so much. I have so much fun anticipating how big that crab's gonna be on the end of that string! I know you two know to stay hydrated. I just worry, but you two together are in good hands. The cook pot and stove just round it out. Thanks for the videos and taking us along.
Dave we don't remember to stay hydrated we have to keep reminding each other lol even though we know it's important. We're glad you enjoy our videos Thanks for Watching
Howdy young couple! Today’s video has me hankering for some more crab! guess I’ll have to put in a order for more tomorrow and have them shipped up to me in upstate New York again. guess I’ll steam them like you guys did today. thanks for your video. Bet🎉🎉🎉 you guys could do a wonderful live stream.
@@TheOldCoupleOutdoors I would be first in line for one of your live streams young couple! You folks certainly have the wit and wisdom to do a great one. Thanks again
If we were in Florida I would have stayed and caught a lot more so Joyce could make crab cakes. But when we're in Mississippi we have no place to store them. Thanks for Watching
Man those were some monster crabs!! Those were some of the biggest ones I have ever seen! I dont know what is funnier, hearing Joyce yell in slow motion about losing a crab, or seeing you 2 do the mexican hat dance around a feisty crab!!! Nice catch guys!!!
Oh My..Those were some big ole crusty crabs!!...at least the 3rd time was a charm😅...One of my pet peeves is when people disrespect nature...like leaving those fish and Ray to die..and also littering in any way😢😢....Love and Blessings from Virginia❤
Great video... I soo miss crabbing ... got a shellfish allergy like 10 + years ago... so watching your videos is like taking a diabetic through a candy store! KIDDING! it reminds me of what was... keep at it...!
Thank you for all of your videos. My wife and I are going crabbing tomorrow for the first time. After watching how much fun you two have, I thought we should try it. Just a couple of ring traps and a couple of hand lines to start out with. I’ll let you know how we did. We live in SE N.C. Again, thank you for your efforts. CIAO!!
Y’all are sure enjoying life. So much fun crabbing. It’s is an absolute shame how people abuse public parks and things like public piers. Y’all stay safe and keep making videos when you can.
Great day crabbing your right i like 2 hrs before dead high tide usally the best time anywhere those are nice size crabs probally loaded with meat when there rusty color awsome video
Hi Sam and Joyce those crabs are huge that’s my type of meal . Some people don’t know the meaning of cleaning up behind yourself just nasty . Have a safe trip back home🙏
I don’t think I’ve ever seen you put white vinegar in when you boil the crabs we always did it that way. My father taught me that the white vinegar would kill any pollutants that was in the crabs to make them very safe to eat plus add flavor by the way nice show Sam and Joyce you know I love you both
I wonder what people are thinking when they just leave a mess of bait that way, shameful waste how hard would it be to just dump them over the side and let nature take care of their wastefulness. Always look forward to watching you two harvest mother natures bounty, bless you both and thank you for the entertainment. Love
It would be very easy, we catch fish and small crabs that we don't want all the time, you just dump the net back overboard and the fish will live. Thanks for Watching
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You beautifu couple made it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's sad to see a beautiful pier left like that! If you have extra bait leftover, throw it in the water. On a fun note, I've seen running crabs but never flying ones😂 Enjoy your catch😊
Jim, we found that to be true but we have a spot where the falling tide is better, bring the crabs off the marsh into the bay, it's nice to have a spot where you can crab on an outgoing tide. Thanks for Watching
Hello my favorite crabbers. One thing I seen another crabber do is add a piece of fish or chicken in with the crabs so they don’t eat each other before you get home.
Some areas all you catch are females others it's mostly males, in salty water you catch mostly females in brackish water it's mostly males but there's plenty of both.
Your comment reminded me to go get the chicken legs I left in the ice chest from our trip to Mississippi, if I forgot them that would have been bad lol. Thanks for Watching
