I loved this WIP & Chat! Thank you for the fellowship. Yay, I have 2 kitty babies; Lia (a 13.5yo Bengal) and Mac (a 3.5yo orange derp). I'm technically allergic with an asthmatic reaction to all animals with hair, fur or feathers (and I also still have an allergic reaction inside reptile houses at the zoos and such) but with daily allergy meds, cats are the only animal that's tolerable to live with. Dogs give me hives if they lick me or I pet them and then touch my face. I've always wanted a dog, but they try their best to kill me so I just gratuitously enjoy watching rescues and videos of people loving on dogs. 🥰
My dad is allergic to cats too, but always took medicine when I was growing up so we could have cats! He's a softie. :) I'm sorry you can't have dogs! I'll give mine some hugs in your honor.
Quick tip: lightly blow humid air from your mouth (like you would to steam up a window) into the baggie with a lot of static. They will just fall off like magic. Re your strawberry biscuit: that’s how I grew up with as strawberry shortcake. The version with sponge cake was always called Washington Pie. Your idea of taking your son with you on vacation is spot on. Take it from an empty nester…. there is soooo much time after the kids are gone for you and hubby to go away together. We are actually heading to Disneyland in just over two weeks with our youngest and his family and I can’t wait to see Disney through grandbaby eyes! 😍 Yea or Nay: yea❣️ Our eight year old cat Fluffles came to us seven years ago. Her sire was a gorgeous pure-bred silver Bengal and her mother was a floozie tabby. As my hubby puts it “she is the furry empress whom we love and serve”. Hugs from the Canadian Arctic❣️❣️🇨🇦

But I keep forgetting.>< I've never heard of Washington Pie! I love strawberry shortcake with a scone bread though. One of my favorite summer treats!! My older kids have moved out now so I guess I'm really feeling that anxiety of having my last kid still at home and wanting to make the most of our time with him. Yay! We have our sweet pup Emma. Shes 7 and 1/2 and is a true mix lol. She has border collie, german shepard, bull mastiff, american Staffordshire terrier and a handful other breeds that went further back then the DNA testing did lol. Shes a goofy girl with an underbite and an extra tooth. We did have our sweet boy Ollie who passed away very unexpectedly in July of 22. He just turned 8. He had a cancerous tumor in his heart and we still love and miss him dearly. He was another wonderfully strange mix. He had standard schnauzer, chihuahua, American Staffordshire terrier, bluetick coonhound and others. He had short stubby legs and a long body. He was so silly. We sometimes talk about getting another but at this time we havent found the right one. Both our dogs were from Rescues and I will continue to support rescues as they do so much for our best friends. Phew, lol Glad your snakes were okay! Nothing is more scary then having a furry (scaly) friend get themselves in trouble and not be able to easily call for help.
Your pups sounds so sweet! I'm so sorry for the loss of Ollie. We never get enough time with them, but when it's early and sudden it's even more unfair. :(
Hi Cait! I love listening! I have two dogs😊 I have a 12 year old black lab named Jaxon and a 2 year old merle French bulldog! Two opposites old-young, tired all the time-crazy all the time! But they do keep me busy! Dogs are life :)❤

The snake incident was scary. My brain did not go to your reptile babies getting hurt in a fall, my brain went to your human baby getting squeezed too tight while he was sleeping. Clearly, I’m very influenced by scary snake movies! Fun question of the week…yay, I’ve got two cute pups named Oscar and Toby. Also, I did give a little squeal and wiggle when I listened to you read my comment. 😂 It’s the little things that can bring such joy. And also, yay, you pronounced my name correctly!! 🥰

Yay, rescue dog Savannah, rescue cat Lilly and my daughter has a Mississippi Map Turtle named Yoda. She would love to have a corn snake someday but she has been unsuccessful in her many efforts to talk me into it. 😂

I started working yesterday in a small one like this, mine is Tiny Hermione, Consirder not kitting up but ended up doing it because I wanted to kit up 3 small ones. And Oh girl you openning up that can just made my mouth water but for diet coke I'm watching you while doing laundry, but when I finish I'll definitely go get one! That was such a thoughtful gift! Wow, never thought I'd see this type of crossover with DP pens, but ok, each their own I guess haha YAY for me! I was always a dog person bit now I consider myself both a dog and a cat person When I moved in with my boyfriend, I told him I wanted us to have a pet, and he's ONLY a cat person and his mom rescues tons of cats, she has around 20ish at any given time, so he decided to bring home a 13 (now 14) year old CAT named Queenie, since she was the one most attached to my boyfriend since back when she was rescued she was attacked by other adult cats and injured her legs, and they all thought she was not going to be able to walk, but she is, a bit wonky but she does, shes cranky and shows her love in unusual ways, but I ADORE her more than I ever thought I could
I also have a Pavlovian type response when I hear the sound of a soft drink can opening! lol sorry to enable you! XD Aww, we used to have an old cranky cat too that my husband just adored! Sometimes the cranky ones just vibe with you, lol.
Oh I just have missed the last WIP&Chat because I don't remember that question! Funny how that works. I have 2 small dogs, Mango and Wally, who trade off sitting on my lap when I diamond paint or do a puzzle at the table!
Well as I was raising my 4 kids it was yay but the non typical type such as hedgehogs and hermit crabs. They were cheerleaders and football players and I was a youth cheer coach so we had no time to commit to a dog. When My younget moved out we got a basset hound which lead to us now having 11 basset hounds. They are so fun!
Happy belated birthday! Sounds like you have a fun family trip planned. Can't wait to hear all about it. Yea! I have 2 cats. I have a tuxedo cat named Liebchen and a black cat named Mina. Mina is our most recent addition to the family. Our poor Mina was in bad shape when we found her but her health is doing much better now. Liebchen is not happy about having another cat in the house but we are seeing progress with them. I hope someday they'll get along and I find them cuddling together.
Aw, I hope Liebchen gets used to Mina and they become buddies! It's hard going from an only (kitty) child to a sibling, hehe. Give them cuddles for me!
Yay….2 dogs…1 golden retriever named Cosmo, 1 toy poodle named Bella, and 7 cats lol….Stella, Smelly, Gamora, Thor, Rocket, Milo, Drax…most named after Marvel characters lol😂
Oh my goodness! He could have said the incident with the snake so much better than he did! Lol. Brain trains are of sometimes. Yay! I've had pets my whole life and at one point wanted to be a Vet. I currently have two cats: Icarus and S'mores. A Siberian and a tuxedo. Icarus is my love baby who is always crying for attention and fights for it almost as much as my kids do, haha 😂

I’ve watched a couple episodes of the live action avatar series and enjoyed it, but definitely a different experience from the cartoon. No pets at the moment due to my current rental agreement, but maybe a cat or dog depending on space in the future!
No pets for me. Sometimes I wish I did. Other times I am glad I don’t. Several around me have lost pets recently. My heart breaks for them. Also traveling is a heck of a lot simpler without pets.
That's very true! A pet-free life is definitely a more convenient one when you tend to leave the house a lot, hehe. And yeah, losing them is the worst. But, as they say, I'm of the mind that "tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all!"
