Thank you for a very well done set of reviews, and please keep up the good work. Please note that Amber Noizumi was born and raised in Japan, and thus knows exactly how Gaijin are treated there. I think she was working some of that out in her script. All told the show is brilliant, surpassing even early Disney animation in terms of Art.

I mention on my show i was visiting a relative for the holidays with the kids and so i saw the title but didnt see the rating as i watched in horror i still said i gotta watch this later. i was hooked ever since. @@Geeklectica
First: Ringo's hat! I have watched through this entire series at least 6 times, and still didn't catch Ringo picking up that board -- I have wondered so many times why he's wearing a board on his head! 😂 Second: Duel with Taigen -- I don't think he was sparing her from the kill, but rather being cocky while she was down, before going for a death blow. He didn't expect her to get back up while he was looking at his buddies with that stupid face. That's how I read it anyway. Enjoyed the video! Going to watch ep. 2!
He actually walked away and wasn't going to kill her. And I do think it was guilt. But it could just have been that she wasn't worth killing - so the humiliation aspect. There would have been no honour in going back and killing her, I believe from what people have told me. I swear this show has made me go down quite a few rabbit holes in research.
