Blue jay bird call / song / sounds 

When I was younger, birds chirping early AM would upset me, but as an adult it’s so calming, and it really sets the right vibe for the day.

Beautiful but very LOUD! I kept thinking the sound was coming from crows!

So damn cool. I might miss this sound more than anything in the world. If you have Blue Jays in the morning you're blessed.

I start hearing them at 4am every morning. I love them but boy can they be loud lol

Blue jays always outside my window when I wake up. I’m a late sleeper, they’ll perch right outside on the edge of the roof or this tree which allows them to peak into my apartment. They know I’m their feeder and they’ll get pretty fussy until I give them their afternoon variety of birdseed, peanuts and fruit 💜

I only saw this in the book before but when I moved here in the US, I saw this in person like two weeks ago. My husband dragged me showing this Bluejay right at our backyard. I was speechless, it was really beautiful. Thanks for sharing this beautiful bird, it is very relaxing. Supporting here

Blue Jays absolutely sound like that. I was hearing this noise in my backyard and wondering what bird it was. I finally was able to catch a glimpse of it sitting on my fence. It was indeed a beautiful Blue Jay and it was making these noises!

I have a nest right outside my window. 5 chicks and it has been remarkable watching them grow,get fed, snooze and grow fuzz. Mom is so attentive! 🐦

This is one of the most nostalgic sounds from my childhood! I never knew what bird it was that was making this sound outside my house, I just decided to look up the sounds of different types of birds to track down the sound, and came across the blue jay! Never seen one before which is really interesting, since I'm always looking for the bird making the sound. It's not like the crows or pigeons that I hear every single day, this bird I hear maybe once a month.. that's a big maybe! But the sound I can remember as far back as my memory will let me go.. they're even part of the ambience in Harvest Moon! Anyways, glad I found the bird finally! I'm in love with this!

I love blue jays! I know people complain about them being loud but their calls are hilariously similar to a yelling cat, to me: “MEW! MEW! MEOW!” 😂 Also, I have respect for all corvids because of how smart they are. ❤

Was walking through the woods in my back yard and a Blue Jay was like 3 feet next to my head on a branch just yelling at me. I thought it was going to attack me, and wondered why. Next thing you know I look to my left and there's a nest in the other tree at eye level. It had freshly hatched baby blue jays that were sleeping.

0:47 was the best sound to wake up to as a kid on a Saturday morning. Sometimes you'd hear the bluejay, tufted titmouse, and mourning dove all singing together.

Everybody is in here loving these things...I've been cursing these birds for a year now. Every morning I have to, half awake, close my window because they never shut up and their call is the most annoying noise. We get Magpies too and they also catch some words, but there is some other bird that, while sings super early in the morning, at least doesn't have an awful ear piercing call every 5 seconds for the entire day.

I live in DC in an apartment, and we have tons of them. They are very loud especially when my windows are open. It sounds like they are in the apartment. There is a tree near my kitchen window. But I would not have it any other way. They seem to be especially active this morning. I love it.

no joke as soon as I started playing this, I saw so many birds no Blue Jays but I saw one red cardinal and a bunch of other little birds. I can confirm it works.

thank you so much for this video. You were able to film in close-up what I was trying to see from afar. lol. I've been feeding the blue jays here peanuts in the shell. I swear they have me trained and know my break times. Most of the peanuts I notice they go hide under leaves or whatever and forget where they put them so a couple of them just eat them right away just like you showed in the video.. cracking them open with their beaks. thanks again
