One more thing. My Lave Me THREE I ordered with the custom self locking strap. I slung it over my shoulder but the locking mechanism failed somehow. It dropped two feet to the sidewalk and cracked all the way across the bottom. I thought these guitars were not breakable but they are more breakable than regular wooden guitars. Just something to know. THE COMPANY DID SEND ME A REPLACEMENT GUITAR FOR FREE....

I want to buy this guitar but my question is how durable do you think is the battery and the touch screen? I'm afraid to buy it and after 2 or 3 years end up just being able to use it acoustically because of the electronics failing...

Its quite funny - This year I have been formerly diagnosed wih ADHD which wouldnt come as any surprise to anyone who knows me - but I now also realise I have a very small "working memory" to the point I cannot remember lyrics to songs and find "formal sructured songs" really hard not to mess up - as a resul I improvise lol. Anyway.... I am really keen to be a "proper" musician and learn a "song" ! 1.4 million subscribers. Now THATS awesome work. Bye for now!

Hey. I have one question about these guitars. I just bought a acoustic fender paramount for around the same price point. So I was thinking is it worth to switch to the blue lava, really enjoyed it, specially with the more wooden sound. Great video btw.

I tnink between the two, your playing is great bro. LOL. But yeah, seriously. Anyway i kinda like how the carbon fibre model gives you that extended overtone on effects. It’s probably why i’d get the Lava for - happy fun. Otherwise, i won’t settle for anything less than my Martin if pure acoustic is what i need to cheer me up when my boss gets cranky and cocky.

Very helpful as I try to decide between the 3 or the Blue, or perhaps even the touchscreen-less „Original Blue“, or perhaps even the Pro. Love the warmth of the Blue in your comparison, but the 3 has some sweet treble. Which of the two do you think would still sound fine when tuned 3 half-steps down, to C# standard, which is my standard tuning? (Background for the question: Doing so tends to make some guitars less brilliant on the top end, and either muddy in the lows, or else unconvincing of lows were lacking a bit even in standard E tuning).

I like to sing with guitars and I'd like to tune 3 half-steps down due to my aged voice. I would imaging to use Lava Pro would be better since it is full size. To tune a traveler guitar dowm may loose the tension further. I own a Lava Me 2. Enjoy you playing....🥰

@@yung-chengchang3905 Thank you for your input on this. Tuning down to C# does really help with a lot of songs, and being older is not the only good reason to try this. My vocal range just happens to be lower than most (and I am older, too, haha). At any rate, thanks for your recommendation on the right guitar to try. In the meantime, I tired the Original Blue. It had a warm and woody sound I liked a lot, but did not perform well when tuned down 3 half-steps. The string tension was one issue (that could have been fixed with thicker strings), but the other issue is that certain upper-mid and treble frequencies lost their sparkle. Also, I was not impressed with the internal effects. I returned it, and - after much research - ended up getting an Enya X4 Pro. It sounds fantastic, even in C# standard tuning! The action was too high, and the truss rod needed adjusting for the thicker strings I use, but now it plays wonderfully.

Funny Dave says; Lava ME3 sounds louder than the Blue Lava, to me the Blue Lava sounds louder, while the Lava ME 3; sounds more refined; soft but clear. I like/ prefer the Lava ME 3, to the Blue Lava, also I like the idea of not having to fidget with the Trust rod, Watching Dave play, gives me the idea; Lava ME 3, has a better feel to it, than the Blue Lava.

if you are looking for a better guitar sound at blue lava price range i suggest getting other guitar like martin or any other cuz the sound is like muffled, but if you really do want the effect and the smart feature then why not still sound ok, but if you got the money get the lava me 3 it sounds great i got one and can't stop plying it

Just got a lava me 2. I’m really happy with it. Just wanna put 10s on it. I just couldn’t justify paying more money for a guitar I’ve never even played. I do enjoy the effects. It keeps it interesting

While Martin also uses HPL, they use it for back and sides only, with the top being solid wood. Top is the most important part of the sound, so I would imagine there is a sound difference between solid wood top vs HPL top

Yes, the top board is the main soundboard, the most important "primary".

My other major problem with the Lava Me three. I tried to plug it into the PA to use with my band. It sounded awful. I tried to turn off every effect but apparently I did not succeed. I take each effect and close it by sliding up to turn it off. I cannot trust this guitar in a professional setting until I figure this out. The Lava Me Two I can use because the guitar does not have to be on to plug it in and play through a PA. What if you are playing the Lava Me three in a show and battery goes dead? Is there a way to get the Lava Me Three to sound good when Plugged in and make sure no effects or other sounds are coming out...??? (Your videos are great)

How is the distortion effect ? Whanted to pick up my first classical guitar when a saw this guitar. Mostly metal performer but also want to play unplugged and with all the apps it look really amazing.

it's ok, but nothing like the distortion you'd get from and actual electric guitar and amp. Maybe check out some examples of it in some other LAVA ME 3 reviews

I have a Lava Me three. I cannot figure out how to set your own effects. I can use the presets. I go to the place to create my own template. But if I just want reverb and want to tweak the reverb, I cannot figure out what to press to make my own preset. Do you have a video that shows this in detail? I would appreciate that.

I agree the BL sounds comparatively more "acoustic", even as the sensitivity is lower than the Me3. For performances though, LAVA guitars can always be plugged in so this issue can always be moderated. In the long-term to be spending the bigger money on Me3 is ok if you've got lots of it since tech has its limited relevance in perpetuity. If you want to invest in a guitar, don't buy tech, basically. For instance, what will happen to the value of your Me3 when Me4 is released? So, as a travelling guitar, at 36", is comparatively more 😊 ideal, all else being equal. That is, until the Me4 is released.

You're absolutely right , the lava me 4 has been released, but sadly no left-handed Version at all , contacted them and they said we don't have plans for it in the near future so I think for me the lava me 3 is my choice for now

Does the Blue Lava have a speaker built into it? Or do you only get those sounds through an amp? I couldn't find it anywhere as opposed to the Lava Me 3 which clearly states it has a speaker within.

@@director2bob Specially when playing standing up, you don't need to stretch your arm as much, which I like. For me the main trade-off is the bar chords that I feel are more unforgiving because the space between frets is smaller, specially in the higher frets. But it's a question of habit I guess.

Personally I think that the lava me three is better in terms of sound and quality now with the blue lava certain songs sound good but the lava me three sounds a lot more better just because of the quality and the carbon fiber that makes up the sound

I have a problem; my blue lava touch guitar will not connect to any of my Bluetooth devices. I contacted blue lava and they told me that they have not developed that technology yet???? Well, what the Heck, they have ripped us off. On their website it doses state WiFi & Bluetooth. Man, these guys are false advertising this product lying to customers via saying it has WiFi & Bluetooth on their website. Don't buy this if you really need to connect to your Bluetooth speakers because it does not have that capability. Ripp Off's

The carbon has a much richer sound to it but they both sound great and it’s amazing awesome options they built into it. They need to make a model with a relief cut to reach the higher frets easier.

It's actually a dumb guitar that will not activate (LAVA+ app not connecting to the device's regional server. Contact customer support), and customer service doesn't answer. There is no "SKIP" option for activating, so now, I just have a fairly ugly guitar that doesn't sound as good as my Martin.

Plastic? The Blue LAVA is high pressure laminate, which is wood at its core. The Me 3 is carbon fiber, which as you can tell by the name is definitely not plastic.
