The amount they spent on the movie could have very well been used to improve season 2's animation and the animators would have been more focused on that specific project then having to split into two teams.
The truth is that Episode Nagi likely didn't affect the production of Season 2 and isn't a clear indication of the quality of Season 2. Episode Nagi and Season 2 have completely different directors. Episode Nagi also had very few new scenes, indicating or implying that this project didn't require a big staff of animators, so it likely didn't cut into the animator pool willing to work on Season 2. But the rather small amount of new scenes also means that the potentially shared staff likely finished the project long ago, and are probably working on Season 2 of Blue Lock or on another project like Slime or working at another studio. I would love to say that Blue Lock Season 2 will look great but honestly we won't know till it actually comes out. The indication of the show being 14 episodes is both good and bad. It could be a sign that the staff is focusing on 14 episodes to shorten their scope and be able to put more work into less episodes. However, this also could be interpreted as bad because it also implies that the schedule is rather tight if it is not an intentional decision to do 14 episodes rather then 24, since it basically dictates that the staff don't have enough time to finish 24 episodes within the current schedule they're given.
the last part where reo talks with karasu, otoya, yukimia and kurona was additional time i think so its fine for having such an animation considering every additional time was mostly about joking
@@Extendo-yea i watched it today with my wife. We bothed agreed it shouldve just been on crunchyroll. It literally was 98% just replay of season one. very very disappointing. We are still very hype for 2 just because we know it wont be a recap lmfao. (edit) Yea the animation at the end was a joke 🤣 again shouldve def been on CR or like others are saying, save the budget for season 2.
I rarely comment but just to be extremely fair about the End credit scene , They literally Say its "Additional time" even in Season 1 it had the same power point style where nothing moving , The scene before it where nagi standing on the field with camera moving was actually pretty good , beside that i think waiting and watching it the best we can hope for , if im the director if the movie i wouldn't animate the whole movie as it takes parts from Season 1 , i would use some aspects from it and improve it , just as they did to almost all the goals , espcally isage direct shot goal gave me so much hope for the U20 arc to be animated faithfully!
Dude that scene with reo in the hall was bluelock additional time, the animation is always weird for those 30 second clips it was like that in the first season
the scene of kurona karasu and yukiya from the reo tunnel scene is just the extra little fun animation they also do in the anime after the credits, is done on low budget on purpose just like an extra thing, demon slayer does it too, is literally the same low budget/fan art animation thing, and you know how demon slayer's animation goes crazy. So that part of your argument doesn't makes sense bro, everything else, I undertand, but that one is straight up hating for no reason lmao
I agree with this entire video pretty much I enjoyed the movie it was funny and it made me appreciate these characters a lot more I wish there was more original content but it’s ok and that post credit scene I enjoyed in the tunnel the atmosphere wasn’t the best but when nagi was on the field just how bright everything was I hope they incorporate that and other details into season 2 like when the crowd cheers I want to visually see the noise and just how loud it is
Honestly I still have faith in the studio to make U20 arc good. Since they know that U20 is one of Blue Lock's biggest arcs and that they should go all out into keeping it hype and faithful to the manga. Plus they prepared for 14 episodes, and that they won't add more episodes to it. Not saying that the animation will be peak but I know that they'll do their best to make it.
Bro this is what I've been saying. The nagi movie, although i love the nagi spinoff, was so unnecessary. It would have made a lot more sense to have season 2 like this: First show the kuni and reo vs shidou and igaguri match (5-6 eps) then get into the third selection (3-5 episodes), then from there an ep announcing the starting lineups, and finally some episodes about the rin and sae flashbacks (hear me out, it can be about half of the flashback before sae leaves to spain) and then maybe a little bit of the aiku flashback to introduce his character (this one is debatable). Then hop into the u20 match with a movie where they would also have the second half of the rin and sae flashback ofc, right before he goes berserker mode. and end credits would be their life outside blue lock, the post credits would be return to BL and wildcard exit. Ngl they could even do a 2 part movie and it would have been better than episode Nagi as a movie. 1 movie for each half and I'd be more than happy. End the first with sae saying he's done and aiku convincing him to stay after telling him that he'd let shidou play or something idk.
From the look of things, they're going on the right direction. I've seen people complaining on why s2 was releasing in oct 2024 when the movie just got released. Yeah no, that's not how it works. The S2 and Movie was in production at the same time. The staff for the movie was actually small, like literally. Now, back on the topic, the s2 staff was changed. They acquired a veteran animator that worked on multiple football anime since the 80s like captain tsubasa, days, and even Ao ashi. And finally, they removed the lines in the shadows which is freaking annoying to animate. There's a chance that it will be decent, but not fantastic. There'll be great animation here and there, but don't fully expect it because the main issue of 8bit was the lack of resources. Blue Lock s1 had like 20 or more studios that they were outsourcing from.
i would have a U20 Japan Vs Blue Lock Movie first 30min -45 min being is isagi vibin with third selection. 15 mins of preparation 2 hour match BOOM who would say know to this rush bits and pieces perfect
This movie wasn't as great as I thought it would be . It was overly disappointing, they ruled out multiple if not several clips from the manga. As well as how long the matches lasted , they lasted up to five mins or less, I’d even say the manga is more appealing than the movie , they also cut off where reo began his partnership with zantetsu, I gotta say this movie was too rushed . I do agree with your statement that they're doing this to gain popularity . Nonetheless this was none other than a disappointment. This movie was way too underwhelming , I was exhilarated to see barou due to their heated-up rival but nah , Barou got absolutely thrashed. Plot-wise this didn't make any sense , they skipped that much clips I got bewildered . If they keep up this performance , we'll be doomed for the second season . Most of all the animation was undoubtedly average and garbage . Last but not least we've got the additional time , I sure wonder why they included Kurona if he wasn’t even involved in this arc , we got to know him until the neo egoist league . Don't watch this movie , it isn’t worth your money . The manga is much better than the movie . “By the way this is simply my opinion , I’m sharing my experience , if you wanna see it that badly , go ahead! “
Once they sell the u20 n Ts mine as well scrap the anime😭only arcs all characters show their talents before they get sidelined for plot😭Kinda like TG imo year season 1 enjoyable but oncebu sell the main content mo one cares bout the rest
Your nitpicking cmon we all know that Rep scene was extra time with the goofy animation they always use that’s not really how the match will look not even close
