Lift the shroud of secrecy for us! Let us cheer you on like we do SX. The space community would follow your progress the same way we watch webcams all day in Texas. Just let us root for you.
Blue origin workers might be reading this in frustration knowing they have no way to effect the management of the company while who can change it doesn't care
They won't. Jeff Bezos has Chinese overlords to appease. China builds a new coal-fired electricity plant every week. Meanwhile, nuclear power has virtually no pollution when operated correctly, but it sounds scary, so Americans won't tolerate it.
And every time Bezos talks about his rocket and the reusability, at this point... its been done. Pls stop talking how you are inventing reusable rockets... lets get to how powerful New Glen will be. I am more excited about the big silver ship, because of all the transparency, footage, the journey we have seen for it to come into fruition. New Glen, inside of a top secret barn at the cape with the big words blue origin, then a video here and their with some animations... Meh.
Is SpaceX really that more transparent? Most of the transparency with SpaceX actually comes from the fans. They live next to Starbase and report about it on a daily basis. That's not SpaceX. I believe what it needs is more Blue Origin Fans.
@@KsNewSpace Yep. Outside Elon replies & SpaceX facility watchers, there's no more news from SpaceX than Blue. Heck, we know more details about the planned Orbital Reef station than the Starship HLS.
@@snake88ification ***WHAT*** hasn't been to orbit yet? It doesn't exist yet, on orbit or out of orbit. First you have to ***BUILD*** the fucking thing.
Reminder that it’s perfectly valid to not support Blue Orgin even if you’re team space. This company has repeatedly proved that all they care about is money, and that they are willing to stifle others to obtain more of it, even if the larger goal of space exploration is held back. Anyone remember when they tried to copyright landing rockets on drone ships so nobody else was allowed to do it, then SUING SpaceX when they did it? Anyone remember when they lost the HLS contract and they sued NASA, costing them MILLIONS of dollars in legal fees that should’ve been spent on… ya know actual exploration?? I’m not faulting the people that like this company, their designs at least look cool, but don’t make people feel bad for their perfectly valid standpoint of criticizing them.
He going to be another "Jules Pierre Mao" probably experiment on all of us before any benefit reaches us, there are some major ethical concerns, with space exploration and AI, it will either swallow us whole or take us into a Star Trek future no in between, if there is no ethics is a no go for either it will just be abused, and no wisdom. They'll even blow up the entire planet to reach their needs, without care for any of us. We should not be naive human history is extremely bloody we need to learn from our mistakes especially before going out into the galaxy and bringing about more blood and disaster, respect for other life forms, planets and so forth, we don't know what we will encounter. Proper guidance is crucial.
Starship is ready for orbit, awaiting faa aproval and Jeff said New Glenn will launch in 2021😂 Only SpaceX matters imo. Every other company/organization is incompetent and shortsighted
Brother you just said company and money in the same line. The vast majority of companys will never explore space unless they make a profit, thats what companys do. Governments do things for society paid for by that society. Companys are required to make a profit or they go out of business. But I get your point Blue does some realy bad and shady things to get their way.
@@Jayc5001 I guess we’re used to the unusual goal of SpaceX which values Mars colonization over profit. Heck, with Falcon 9/heavy they have captured the entire West’s launch market, then created their own demand on top of that with Starlink. A company concerned with profit would stop, but then pushing forward with Starship separates them from the others.
Thank heavens B.O. took time out of its busy schedule to let me know the Earth is the best planet in the solar system! This shocking news might keep me from buying swamp land on Venus.
08.07.2000: "We're Blue Origin and this is just the beginning." 10.04.2023: "We're Blue Origin and this is just the beginning." 2035: "We're Blue Or... Tory Bruno: "Hold on a minute. Where are my motherfucking engines, Jaff!!?😡😠 "We're Blue Origin and this is our bankruptcy."
Since 2000 Jeff did take care to assemble an impressive FLEET of hyper yachts, luxury planes, helicopters, hyper cars and luxury real estate. That's at least something.
The vision has always been there for many people. What is needed is a commitment from those with the ability to engage in the effort, accomplishing these goals and spend less time running a carnival ride.
if you want to inspire generations take advantage of the tech we have and upload more often with more updates on your progress. on youtube and as many social media platforms as possible as often as possible. take your own words seriously.
I am a Gerry O'Neill fan, and my vision of humans in space aligns with this... but damn, BO is so very, very SLOW. More pictures of actual flight hardware, I can look out thew window and see how awesome Earth is.
I don't understand Blue Origins claim to "move the most polluting industries from earth to space" @3:47. How does that work? Please give some concrete examples .
Budd don't get offended.. But are u seriously asking these things in RU-vid? 😂 come on get a proper source for knowing about these things in details....
"Sarif was right about one thing. It's in our nature to want to rise above our limits. Think about it. We were cold, so we harnessed fire. We were weak, so we invented tools. Every time we met an obstacle, we used creativity and ingenuity to overcome it. The cycle is inevitable." -Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Great video but why now? You've been saying this stuff for years and I can't wait for you to succeed, NS is great and glad you have the BE4 engines now; feel like the presentation is missing a big reveal at the end, say perhaps, New Glenn hardware!!! When will you start to talk about your progress on this promised launcher, we want to see that, majority already familiar with and bought in to the "big message", thanks
Wow what an amazing nothing-burger! Seriously, even for marketing stuff this was amazingly empty. I guess the marketing department at Blue Origin felt they had to justify their jobs in light of all the Amazon layoffs.
Why not switch the marketing department with engineering? Marketing seems to be the only one producing anything. BTW if you’re going to do this why not put in some actual information? Like what is the weight and ISP of the BE-4? SpaceX publish theirs for the Raptor and I’m sure that information won’t release any IP.
i dont know.. blue origin seems to be driven by greed and the fear to be left behind. look at jeff letting the press take pictures of himself with a group of children. so disgusting
More engines that don't work while getting contracts that are holding up the whole space program with more law suits against those that have actually achieved orbit! NASA gives BO contracts like NASA gives Russia contracts!
You act like they aren't currently building New Glenn and all their infrastructure on Earth for that purpose. Remember Starship and New Glenn are similar kinds of vehicles. They will get there, only 2 or 3 years longer.
@@dr4d1s They've been working on it for a 10 fucking years already. More than enough time to have at least one test flight but all they can show are fancy animations and pseudo-inspirational videos about moon landing and asteroid mining
This video made it click on the difference between Blue Origin and other space companies - for Blue Origin, space is the means to bring technologies back to preserve Earth versus going to space to leave it
I'm all for protecting earth, 100%! Just don't get the state involved. That's when things go awry. The worst evils have been committed by governments. Keep the solutions voluntary and in the free market.
This video could've been much worse. I appreciate that you do not hate on energy use. But be careful with extrapolation; exponential growth never lasts.
Blue Origin, despite its controversies, honestly has a pretty good track record when it comes to its mission. So far, it has delivered on what contracts it’s gotten (albeit way too slow). I can respect Bezos’s effort to “stay grounded” morally. He and his ain’t talking about messing with our genome or making robots to “satisfy” us. He’s talking about some of my favorite 20th century dreams, and I hope solar system colonization keeps the human factor alive, like they plan to keep the planet alive
To think, if BO was more transparent like SX they’d inspire so much more people, if hey stopped trying to fight SX on everything and instead competed against them as colleagues and learned to utilize the areas where SX isn’t as strong it would make for an incredible team that would unequivocally expedite the colonization of the moon and even mars… Much like how Rocket Lab doesn’t compete against SX, they instead chose to be the No.1 launch provider in the Small sat and SLLV’s and with neutron will do,instead the medium launch market… because of that they’re arguably one of the top 5 launch companies out there right now.
@@lilililililililililililili430 wow very insightful response, so well articulated lmao. Not sure what you’re claiming is ‘false’ but nothing in there is… if BO+SX worked together we’d expedite colonization and base establishment, any idiot can see that lol. RL is easily the the launch leader in small launch services with 35… i mean unless you’re counting Pegasus lmao but what kind of idiot would do that??
Watching this makes you feel like it’s getting done for you. Not like you could be part of it, like there’s no plan behind it that actually will make it real. Eventually it even looks like a dystopia… bad visions, bad marketing.
This video should be when Blue Origin was founded in 2000 showcasing the ambitions and goals. 🤨 I think at present your current audience and stakeholders need to know the current status, progress, development and etc. There is nothing about the milestones or goals achieved since.
I don't think BO has stake or shareholders. I am pretty sure they are wholly funded by Jeff (he puts $1billion of his money into the company every year) and from contracts with their partners, customers and government. I agree that it would be nice to see more public progress of what they are doing. It's just a different way of doing things than SpaceX and there is nothing wrong with that.
Great video, good vision... but why are they speaking as if reusable rockets don't exist at this point. How about that stance of opening opportunities, the more options the better, or showcase what has been developed behind those closed barn doors for the past 3 years at the cape. All eyes on Blue Origin, because while Spacex keeps moving forward, Blue Origin tells us that something big is coming, but without any transparency. But hey, Cheers to all the new space agencies opening up the doors to the new beyond! P.S. Not sure I'm down with mining TOO many resources from the moon, maybe they should watch "The Time Machine" and see where that lead to. :)
Why have you sent so few people into suborbital space and why aren't you offering spots to the general public? At this point I hope Starship eats your lunch.
What does this have to do with BO? Stop wasting your time and get something into orbit already. Then you can make all the videos you want. And cancel New Shepard, it's dangerous and obsolete.
So what you are you saying is we need to thin the herd! Cut the fat, stop the fraud, waste, and abuse, eliminate the non-productive, those who don't or haven't earned their keep! Running away from the problem isn't a solution! Let's go to SPACE for one reason, ... it's FUN and EGGCITING! 😱😝😁🤪🤣👍👍🇺🇲
