The themeing of the park and rides is absolutely outstanding, so much attention to detail especially in the shops; but the coasters didnt provide the experience I personally enjoy, they felt very odd and unrealistic with beginner issues. Best advice I can give it watch some of the previous coaster highlights for ideas on pacing, add an offset to the track and smooth the hell out of it when not in specific or planned elements.
If this park was made by an Expert and above, I’d agree, however this being the beginner/new builder bracket - 85% of new builders don’t create things like PoP out of the gate. This new builder has a lot going for them and once they DO get their coasters perfected - I think we all better watch out. 😉✌️
@@smilingoma3334 agree. But it's the feedback with of he can build better next time I think. The park realy is beautiful and beyond beginner builder. I do like de total atmosphere and it could easy be a top 3 for me. But a good park do also have the good coasters. Especially the first one has design faults. The launch is weird. The brakes are to heavy (think they are block brakes) and the elements would kill you. It's a downside on the fact that te theming is so freaking good. Also on that midle brake saction. And the coaster has quit the sidelines. Think the coaster is a bit of an after thought tho. Second coaster is a lot better i think. Only downside is the pacing of the lift hill witch makes the coaster to go to hard trough the tracks. Overall atmosphere and theming is really outstanding. But the lack of a good ride experience makes it that it is nog the full package for me.
N - to say that the coaster seems like an afterthought is kind of harsh. We don’t know the struggles this new builder had in layout, concept, etc., but the amount of time they had in trying out these various elements. It would be nice to see those of you giving out the harsher comments on a new builders coaster creations to take these new builders under your wings in Discord and help them improve. The struggle is real & it’s not until some of the amazing PlanCo creators take pity and make some videos or actually spend some time explaining some of those ways to improve that these new builders will improve. @AlexOnline - I’m more than happy to explain & share what I know for future coaster creations. Keep your chin up & keep PlanCoing. ✌️ P.S. - I’ve made some leaps of my own with my newest coaster creation only because of what I said above. 😉
I can imagine this park to be a really good family park. Those coasters are not so good, but they have good ideas and it is a skill wich you can learn. But for this level of theming and atmosphere - you have to feel it. Overall this park looks like a calm and quiet place where I personally would love to go for a visit, relax, sometimes take a ride and go home. Incredible well done work.
Overall park layout is really nice, scenery work and buildings are lovely. I like the addition of the boat ride, brings the center of the park to life. Coasters were a little rough and my main feedback would be to avoid such sudden stops when braking. I like that you added 'scenes' to each coaster though, the storytelling element of each was pretty nice, just need to work on a smoother layout and better flow of momentum so riding them feels more pleasant.
I LOVE this park, WOW to the scenery and the realism of it all. I definitely prefer realistic builds over the insane-y ones. The coasters need alot of work though :-) Need more smoothing, need a more natural pacing (right now they're too slow some times and too fast at other times), need more banking, the trains reenter their stations at much too high a speed, the day/night sequencer didn't quite work, and finally the layouts are very short. But dayum, if this new builder learns to build coasters like they do scenery, the rest of our community is in big trouble for the next competitions :-)
The theming and environment are wonderful, but the roughness of the first roller coaster/main attraction is going to hurt it a bit. And the mine train flowed oddly (and I too was thinking Jonny had it on double speed).
Your strength clearly lies in the "set design". Although the coasters could do with some improvements in terms of the overall design, you have a really strong sense for good scenery. Loved the idea with the mine cart rolling towards the train and the police chase scene!
This is such a beautiful park, the theming was amazing. Only things it would lose points for me would be the coaster with the random bends in the track making it a bit of a uncomfortable ride, the mine cart being overall a bit weird, I also thought that Johnny had the ride at two times speed and I was annoyed at that, but then turns out that nope it's just the ride's speed, the creator should have just went up with this ride and created a small mountain to make the ride longer and to have more track to work with ,also both coasters having sudden stoppages for interactive parts was pacebreaking and finally the paths, they felt a bit empty, maybe the creator could have added the waterjets jumping around or some planters to break up the emptiness of the pathing a bit or made them thinner but wind around a bit more, maybe a entertainer or two? The explorer lady would have fit nicely in this park. Overall a amazing park, just some minor fixes would have helped this a lot.
Hm...park theming is great. Pretty heavy on TMTK, coasters need work as you guys pointed out. Day night sequencers were pretty rough with those rapid snaps.
Looks like he spent so much time on making the park look good that he ran out of time on the coasters. Maybe without the time restriction (even though it was two months) even the coasters would have been as top notch at the park itself. Another thought, however, is if Alex isn't that confident in his coaster building, then maybe a collaboration with a better coaster maker would be the thing to make an all around kick-ass park. But, regardless, Alex nailed the look for this park. That part at least is certainly beyond newbe quality.
The theming gave me such high hopes but then the coaster came and i just screamed at my screen in disappointment. People really need to put more care into their coasters.
Please remember that they are: BEGINNERS! Unless they’ve been PlanCoing previously and have worked out the ins & outs of these things before doing a contest- a lot of these beginners haven’t had much time in figuring out all the nuances of coaster making or whatever in game. So, for a beginner- this whole park, including the coasters, are well done. - SmilingGrandma333 😉✌️
Smiling Gal333 i can see that but the theming definitely wasn’t just beginner quality, it was great. From that quality it would be fair to assume the coasters are atleast acceptable.
IcγFlaϻε so I don’t know if you’re aware of how gamers are ranked within C5G - but you could have an Expert or higher whose buildings, shops, & decor are literally mind-blowing but their coaster skills aren’t. Then you can have mind- blowing Expert & above gamers who can make some DOPE af coaster layouts but their level of building shops/decor/etc., aren’t as in par & they rely more on workshop blueprints. C5G has tried their best to take in all of their gamers and their area of expertise rank them accordingly . However, to have ranks in coaster making/ buildings all separate would be a pain in the butt for C5G. In addition to this - you have gamers in New Builder & Builder bracket who have been playing this game for months - even 6months & longer but haven’t uploaded anything to workshop so they are placed in the lower categories- but they know more about this game and aren’t wet behind the ears. Then you have new builders who got the game in the last 2 or 3 months or from last contest and they ARE very new at this game and learning the ropes but decided to jump into contest and do their best because they aren’t competing against the Advanced & higher categories. So, please take this into account when viewing and judging these contest creations. Each & every one of them has spent 2 months doing their utmost job to do their best to not get DQ’d and have a fighting chance. It’s fair that you may like & be impressed with some over others and you’re right that in each category- these gamers are gonna shine more in some areas then another until you get up to Masters and by then it should be pretty even that they’re amazing in all that they do. So, please just keep this in mind and try to be a little more understanding that for instance- for a beginner- this mini park was fantastic and they are indeed a new builder to this game and they did a great job not playing this game very long. ✌️😃
Best shops of the contest so far & thats one of the required elements that haven't been focused on too much however there was a massive reliance on TMTK to make them what they are & while we had access to those items it was stipulated not to use too much, if it took Jonny's rig 30 mins to download all the items & another 30 mins to open the park I've gotta ask is that not too much? Don't get me wrong the park was gorgeous & all the items were used extremely well - if it wasn't a contest I wouldn't be bringing it up
I’m not sure where you live, but if you ever visit the Blue Ridge mountains in Virginia or North Carolina, you’ll seee that this is spot on. It’s beautiful here.
WOW! The i love the theming in this park (i can't build like this) but the coasters are a bit odd cuz they are fast and forced improve your coaster building and keep up the good work
it would be interesting to see several results in the voting. The best park (without roller coaster), the best roller coaster and both together as the best park. so there could be 3 winners in total .. or maybe just one
Maybe go Roller Coaster Tycoon style. There is the grand prizes of best park, then best theming, best coaster, best track ride, best flat ride, best shops.
Love the nature of the park it is fantastic And Good job Alexonline. I think this park is good. but you could get the rides a little more fantastic riding.
I think this builder needs some improvement on his coaster building skills. He could've done a lot with the place he had for the coaster. The theming is top notch btw ❤️
Yeah that first coaster is pretty awful. The hold section theming was really cool, I would have liked to see that expanded a little more but it was well done, the rest of the ride was like a rough draft. The second one was just boring more than anything.
@@smilingoma3334 I can make massively better coasters, but I'm awful at building and theming. I don't see what that has to do with my ability to judge quality relative to other creations based on countless PlanCo videos and a life of going to theme parks and riding coasters.
TheRealConcertKing - yes it was your opinion- but not really constructive feedback. How would you make it less boring? Perhaps this was indeed a rough draft as this creator spent more time making damn near beautiful shops & theming. So, would you like it if you were featured and all the comments praised your coasters but told you the theming was crap? Boring? And repeated all the less than positive comments this park has received? Yes- maybe the negative comments would push you to do better in next creation- but I just feel like - everyone’s forgotten that this was a new builder who has nailed some skills and needs improvement in others but - perhaps backing up those feedback for creator - to truly help them.
@@smilingoma3334 you really need a hobby. The coasters were shit and the scenery was great. That's it. That's all there is. Life goes on. This was submitted into a contest to be judged. I judged it. This was a video I didn't even finish watching, yet some psycho is writing paragraph responses defending terrible coasters. Move on.
TheRealConcertKing Wow - IF you ever have the guts to enter a contest and/or submit something for the community to judge - I sure hope that they give you the SAME kind of comments back to ya.
Let’s get serious, you need to go ride some actual coasters. I’m not saying you don’t at all, but you’re clearly not a coaster enthusiast. Yet you’re judging coaster creations. Mmmmmmmm............
Tbh it's not pretty hard to identify poorly designed coaster compositions in PlanCo. And he's also talking abt landscaping designs not just the coasters.
