Fyi on forest road 751, I traveled it 2yrs ago and it was NOT okay for cars. Driving from 87 to Rock Crossing Campground took about 30 mins to go a couple miles because of enormous potholes and boulders in the road. It may require a truck or other vehicle with clearance.
Great info, glad I watched. We were planning to do a night this coming weekend just to try our hand at kayak camping. You should do more like this and splice in some video. Not that I'm an expert at splicing vid or anything, but that would really make it a kool vid. Check out the lakes above Payson for kayak camping, it's been on our minds to do a night there. We've done all of these on day trip but no camping as of yet.
@@copperstarkayak8072 I knew there had to be something out there. I tried using Zoom meeting as i already record my meetings but you can't edit it in length. I will load it. Thank you. Vids look awesome, I enjoy making them but I have too many hobbies so it's dirt bikes, kayak, MTB lately.
@@copperstarkayak8072 So I loaded this but did you upgrade so you could get an MP4 download? I need to embed this into my editing software. Or will Goggle drive give me the ability to download it as a file?
Hi, Would like to paddle some of the lake for a half day trip...where you mentioned that you can NOT park, where you can park, can you put boards in from there, it looked like it was a high cliff? Also, what hiking trails are there and where do you park for that? thanks
The main parking lot is up in a cliff but you can walk down to the water along the road. It’s not far. The spot you launch from is at the waters edge you just can’t leave your car there after you park. Not sure about hiking trails. I’m sure there are some around there I’ve just never done them. If you you launch and head right there are some petroglyphs in that direction. I’ve only heard of them, never visited them myself. Let me know if you find them! Have fun and thanks for watching!
Are you talking about Blue Ridge? No rapids at all, it’s a lake. Paddle boards will work great. Are you asking about rapids on the Lower Salt River? Technically speaking there are no rapids on the Salt, but there a couple sections that are slightly rocky. But nothing to worry about.
@@copperstarkayak8072 Did you catch or see anyone catch fish there? That's my main target but I heard the algea is kinda bad around this time of year? and they only stock it at the beginning of the summer supposedly..
