Yet another home run from Obsidian, just in a different way than Prognosis, since it's more of a mellow track, which I am more than fine with. Just makes me even more excited for the full album release mid-January.

Yeah, and it comes from Bret's personal experiences. He unfortunately lost his mother to cancer this year, a lot of the songs are about him coming to terms with that. Powerful stuff.

@@adamgreskovics390 He was also very sick, something with his lungs I believe, where he had trouble breathing and lost his voice. He thought he was going to die. These albums speak so much of dealing with your own mortality. The lyrics in Anchor - "uneven breath and fear", and the lyrics in The Mountain - "Even with the loss of my breath", seem to be about him dealing with his illness and mortality and finding the strength to go on. These albums are such an intimate, personal journey for Bret. I'm so glad he got better and is able to use that adversity to fuel his art.

The beat drop is just *chef's kiss* I'm probably looking too much into it, but the symbol for Obsidian reminds me of a coffin. Maybe it makes sense to me, because of the additional facts like... it's the last part of the trilogy, the end of a journey, a piece in DEADchannel. Edit: And of course the skull inside the symbol (I just noticed it) And thank you, I'll be now off to make the world rad :)

This would be an awesome soundtrack to represent a character in a movie or story that seems unattainable powerful in the eyes of a young protagonist. A person who psychologically and physically seems to be on top of the power pyramid, only able to be reached by climbing the proverbial mountain and it's snowy peak. To reach the cold top at the fall of night only to realize that one still has to best the true king of the mountain.

Great song once again -- Obsidian is shaping up nicely. This particular song also sounds like it has amazing remix potential, I would love to hear remixes from Voicians, SWARM, Raizer, and so forth.
