Nostalgic... something about movies made in earlier days that today's mainstream will never capture in all facets.. thank you.😊🎥🎥🎥

Even in stuttering black and white, with bad sound effects and muffled speech, these old movies are so fun to watch. Like this one: not too long, not too short...just enough entertainment to get through a bowl of popcorn or a large coffee. RIP Duke

Those who were in their 50s and 60s who contributed in the making of this movie in 1934 were born and raised when the West was wild. Wyatt Earp, for example, died on January 13, 1929 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 80 - only five years before this movie was released. Had Earp lived another five years, he could've played the part of the old-timer. 👍 🤠

I thought I remembered a scene where John Wayne was cooking bacon when "old timer" happened upon his cabin. JW jumps out the window, comes back around to invite GH to breakfast before the two ride on together. 🤔

I enjoy John Wayne's Lone Star westerns and feel it's unfair to write them off whenever the Duke's career is discussed. While they don't rate with big films like STAGECOACH or THE SEARCHERS, when kept within the context of low budget programmers, these movies deliver the goods albeit in a smaller package. This is largely due to Wayne's screen charisma which was already evident in his early films. The cinematography by Archie Stout takes in the landscape just as well as in any John Ford film, and Stout went on to lens several of Wayne's more acclaimed films. Also, the Lone Stars run only an hour which makes them ideal for a double feature of good, fast-paced, cowboy action.

An enjoyable little run for its time (That is 1934 , the year that this little Romp was made that is,) Other wise, not bad ether.

I am looking for the music that went with this movie but I can't find it. The RU-vid version may have had the music removed.
