I think something you could add to this formula would be to give the player something to do after the button is pressed. Maybe abilities but you have to strike a balance between friendly fire and causing enemy casualties?

The Romans used pigs or hogs to scare war elephants away after hearing of them being used as a secret weapon in India. People may have originally attempted to launch them into opposing ranks, but that didn't go well. From what I gather the lighting on fire part only happened once in the siege of Megara in 266 BCE. The besieging general later kept a pig with his war elephants to get them accustomed to their presence.

13:30 it wasn’t the archers from Rhodes. Those where the slingers which were pretty good. The good archers tho are the merc forces of the Cretan archers since they have amazing range and damage but they have weak melee and armor
