Try using a gloss varnish over the model before you apply the decals. They will lay much flatter and there will be a lot less silvering under the transparent film once they are dry.
Very nice work! I have that kit collecting dust in my stash as it has been there for several years. I have built the Aoshima kit though, so I don't feel too bad. When the movie came out I remember there being a model of the helicopter hanging above the concession stand in the theater and I immediately knew that I wanted one to build.
I spotted that too! At 20:47 the number is definitely upside down (looks more like 201S2) but is the right way up in the final reveal at 30:08, reading 25102.
@matt_uk Oh yea. When I first put the decal on, it was backwards, but then I flipped it after noticing. It's correct on the finished model like in the video
