Very satisfying whirlpool created by using blue dye. Song: NIVIRO - Flares [NCS Release] Music provided by NoCopyrightSounds Free Download/Stream: ncs.io/Flares Watch: • NIVIRO - Flares | Hous...
The effect we're witnessing when the dye in dropped in is called super radiance scattering. Basically, all of the fluctuations in the tub of water cause the dye to be spread out to a point where it forms a disk similar to one found around a black hole, called an accretion disk. You can see that there is a point around the vortex where there is no dye, that point is the rISCO area. Basically, it's so close to the vortex that it gets pulled right in instead of being spread out like the rest of the dye.
It's interesting. It kinda acts like a blackhole. The blue dye is like simulating the effects of gravitational lensing. The closer to the whirlpool, the more warped your view is.
0:00 star is going to die 0:02 boom water 0:07 black hole suddenly appered 0:14 the warping 0:52 blue dye dropped 1:13 accretion disk 1:42 accretion disk almost gone 2:14 accretion disk gone 2:55 black hole is going to evaporate 3:13 accretion disk formed again 3:59 black hole is going to die 4:40 the black hole is completely evaported
I like the fact that objects can't escape a whirlpool. Similar to a black hole. Yet a whirlpool looks like a black hole singularity. Which is interesting as the dye
The internet is a source of so much knowledge and information. So naturally, more than 1.5 million of us choose to watch a complete stranger put food coloring in his sink. ...seems legit.
People are always good at discovering interesting things. The water channel under the sink creates vortices, and different colors of vortices can be created through dyes. This video is a little water consuming
Nice, is it possible to have a double whirlpool? Maybe if you cut a cardboard like that red thing but put 2 holes far apart from each other, then place it on top of the “big circle” of the drain (instead of the lower circle like in the vid)
This kinda like a black hole, I know black hole not suck everything in the universe but I mean the whirlpool is like curvature of space time and the blue dye is like the accretion disk orbiting it, and refraction caused by that whirlpool is like bh's gravity bending the light
I did that before I watched this and it’s so cool You just pour water in there until it’s like almost there to the top and then you put the plug in the middle after no before pouring the water in and then pull the plug and then it makes this cool underground tornado (which is basically just whirlpool or a waterspout)
@Hernendes a black hole this size would collapse, due to it being too tiny, if we compressed the size of earth into singularity, it would be the size of a ping pong ball.
Like the music here. And hey, thats a whirlpool. Crazy what tickles us humans, even my kitchen sink plug drain sends me reeling with laughter at the noise it can make. Klux am i !!
Technically it is because black holes warp the space around them which is what this is doing, And it’s also making things orbit and stretching the dye, this is one way to simulate a black hole
