I was 16 years old in 1977, and waiting for Led Zeppelin to take the stage some time later. In the meantime there was music pumping from the stacks. I didn't know or care for jazz fusion...until a particular song came on and immediately caught my attention. It was one of those moments in life when a whole new vista opens. I asked a friend what the song was. He told me it was Blue Wind by Jeff Beck. When I got home I bought the Blow By Blow album and from that point on I was a jazz man. This band did that great song justice, and with their very own take on it. Well done.
I grew up on Jeff Beck and the whole fusion movement. This is such a wonderful tribute to that era, and you have made it your own. What amazing musicians you all are! Thank you for sharing your genius with all of us!
Japan’s music scene is so incredible! Whether it’s jazz or fusion or metal every musician is on Epic level! I need to visit and check out the bands live! Thank you for your hard work and for sharing the video! I’ll be looking for your music on iTunes!
There seems to be a lot of cross pollinating of these girl groups and they are all excellent. If it's not Juno on bass, it's Rina and occasionally both of them. Rie and Kanade are in loads of groups. The Japanese musicians are certainly playing the kind of music that I want to hear, not forgetting of course my favourite jazz pianist Riyoko Takagi. They all seem to be world class. Oh, great drum solo from Senri, it's back to the sixties. Love Bites are another fantastic female group. Good luck to them all.
such a tasty treat for the ears. so good. Rina Hoshino is such an awesome bass player, I love her sound. beautiful woman. Kanade & Senri together, appreciating each other and having fun, outstanding. nice job RIE. bravo.
A great rendition of a classic Jeff Beck tune with the additional treat of a Senri drum solo! Rie never disappoints and Senri is in beast mode! (That’s killin it for the unwashed.) 🫶🏻👏🏻🙌🏻👍🏼👍🏼
That's one of my favorite videos! Have you watched any of the ones with Senri playing with her teacher, Kozo Suganuma? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O8Q9gq6o8r8.html
MUY BIEN CHICAS .. LO HAN HECHO FANTÁSTICAMENTE BIEN .. SOY UN VIEJO MELOMANO FANÁTICO DE JEFF BECK Y LAS VUELVO A FELICITAR .. LES MANDO UN ABRAZO GIGANTE DESDE BARILOCHE REPÚBLICA ARGENTINA 🇦🇷❤
Kanade and Chisato have been playing together in a twin drum group for over 10 years, so even though they are young, they have known each other for a long time, so maybe they are like sisters? Kanade is in MUSUS, and Chisato is in TJA and is band mate with bassist Juna Serita. So this time, Rina Hoshino and Juna Serita are Tokyo groove joshi and have a twin base. I'd like to see twin drums and twin bass with these four.
WOOOWWW CHICAS .. SON EXTRAORDINARIAS .. TODAS MAGNÍFICAS HACIENDO UN COVER DE JEFF BECK .. LAS AMO .. LES MANDO UN ABRAZO GIGANTE DESDE BARILOCHE REPÚBLICA ARGENTINA 🇦🇷 ❤
That Kawaguchi's solo was excellent. Great groove throughout, and almost all with a single bass drum, great rolls and ghosts on snare... and the drum sounds, especially the toms, were top notch. Very Nice! And you were correct - Jan Hammer composed Blue Wind, and played keyboards & drums on it.
ライヴ・ワイアー (Jeff Beck With the Jan Hammer Group Live) 🙇
