Bluebell Railway "Brighton Works Weekend" 25th August 2024

This event marks a special new chapter in the history of Britain Heritage Railway! The New LB&SCR H2, 32424 “Beachy Head” is now in action and has ran its first weekend in traffic! 
This weekend locomotives that were running over the August Bank Holiday, were loco’s that were built at Brighton Works!
Loco’s were:
The New build LB&SCR H2, No.32424 “Beachy Head”,
LB&SCR A1 “Terrier” Class, No.72 “Fenchurch”,
BR Standard 4MT Tank, No. 80151 &
SR Rebuilt Battle of Britain Class, No. 34059 “Sir Archibald Sinclair”!
During the event, 80151 was renamed to 80154 . 80154 was the last loco to be built at Brighton Works! The loco didn’t surviving into preservation. So 80151 was renamed to 80154 for the event! Nice way to ride behind a loco that was scrapped back in 1967.
This event was fantastic! Beachy Head was running for the first time! 80154 rise from the dead and Sir Archibald Sinclair was pulling the Bluebell’s Golden Arrow! Great opportunity for photographers & Filming!
Highlight of the event for me was of course she Beachy Head in steam as well as trying out a new location for filming! I try out one of the fields next to Horsted Keynes. I quite happy on how they came out! Sadly, the only thing that I wasn’t happy about was the wind noise!
Congratulations to the Bluebell’s Atlantic Group for achieving their goal! She looks beautiful & sounds amazing! Thank you to the Bluebell Railway for putting on a fantastic event! Looking forward for more future events!
