I'm the lead trumpet player for my HS, currently am a Junior, looking to join Santa Clara corps when I graduate. Can't wait to see you guys preform.. Very amazing show you guys have.
im a new cymbal player for my new highschool Im a freshman anyways I thought I would never join band but I had it for my last period and Now I fucking love it today I fot my dog tags and looking at these guys play and how they march motivates me to work hard ^.^
It was very close between Bloo and BD very close, I honestly think that this is the best line that bloo has ever had in terms of scores, a 19.3 at finals is insane. Bloo, you have most everyone's approval for best percussion last season. Your drums sound godly and you guys are clean as tits. I wish you the best for next season.
8:50 oddly enough sounded like the intro to MJ's "liberian girl" lol. and i first started watching these DCI videos with blue devils "space chords" and it branched out from there and i gotta say, not only am i intrigued by the type of music played.....the fact that the band is pretty much in an upbeat fast pace motion the entire time just amazes me. there is no way in hell any HBCU band or traditional style marching band could hold a candle to this kind of showmanship.
Awesome still haven't seen a troop like Float did take a drumline do a perfect 32nd roll leave drumline 40 yards away and from each other and make it sound together like buttcheaks haha
it looks to be just a continuous thumb roll. look up 'thumb around' on youtube and you'll find some pen spinning videos (that's how I learned it). once you get the basic spin, you can figure out the continuous motion from there.
So, everytime I am watching this, I always manage to look at the one snare player that is well dressed than the others. Did he lose a bet or did he show up to rehersal like that? I'm just curious XP
yeah, no one else here knows how to tune and take care of the drums properly other than myself and two others, plus i bought the snare i use and i dont trust anyone with tools or a drum key near my snare.
