What always tripped me up is who is singing the vocals? Obviously everyone is playing an instrument so it's not them, and I doubt the audience can be that together. Was it an audio recording?
@@awmeade31 I suppose, but most of the audio recordings of theirs in the past was kind of 'sketchy' (I can't think of the word but you know what I mean) but this one feels all natural you know?
@@scrimbles2973 Having the vocals placed in an impact moment can help hide/blend some of the parts that can make them sound "in another environment". Other times they've used them in exposed moments and it let you know they were samples.
Sorry if this is too old to pop in, but I was with Crown summer of 15 and we recorded the "Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here" and saved each word as synthesizer patches. That way the voice was doubled electronically but still "performed" by Josh in the front. Not sure the synth part fully here but it's an easy way to avoid being locked to the tempos of pre-recorded material
