For those of you in the comments who don't know, There's no one else's song that could compete with B.B.'s how blue can you get, EXCEPT Bobby Blue Bland's "Turn on your love light". I feel so sorry for all those who didn't get to enjoy it with the rest of us who had been enjoying it since its release in 1961.
Joe Morton *REALLY* has his shit together as a competent blues singer in this, he really did Cab Calloway proud...I was kinda disappointed that like a while after this movie was made, THEN Jim Belushi got involved & now they couldn’t really make another one, Matt Guitar Murphy’s dead, Donald “Duck” Dunn’s dead, “Mr. Fabulous” Alan Rubin is dead... the only way they could have another one now would be if Dan Ackroyd decides to make a _Blues Brothers Next Generation_ kinda deal and went all over the country finding all New Blues Brothers...
I didn't know that part of the band passed away, rip. Yeah they can do that with an elwood cameo , but ... I don't know, they really have to choose the actors very well , to honor this and the first one. Its not that easy, specially with all the hate this sequel still have on social media
What's sad, is that I didn't even know how many of the original members were dead till reading this :( Making a next generation would kind of feel like the Ghostbusters reboot attempt.
This was one hell of an amazing performance by this band. I still think to this day that it’s really cool that the blues Brothers go out on tour. Dan Aykroyd, and Jim Belushi definitely do a hell of a job on the road. I would love to see a reunion of all of these guys doing a couple of shows. I think it would be amazing to watch that.
She kept them frozen because she saw the potential of the blues brothers (until moment of performance).... so that they wouldn't do anything to lose (in the long run) the competition (notice how other bands speak down to each other usually of intimidation)

I agree. The people who don't like this movie just haven't watched it. And it's painfully obvious like in rifftrax when they make a joke about Blues Brothers 2000 and mention Jim Belushi. HE WASN'T EVEN IN THE MOVIE!!!

I like the musical numbers in 2000,they are some of the best parts of the film, but the dancing doesn't look as fluid in this compared to the first film
