Man,they're good without question but out there on guitarplayers' market is also somebody whose capabilities are even stronger than theirs. His name is Michael Paouris and he's real threat to those two.I bet Joscho and Bireli wouldn't be able to play Paouris' "Django's rainy heart".It's a piece of music that demands extreme technical capability. And one more thing to mention.Paouris plays strict and very strong alternate picking without any sweep picking which Joscho and Bireli use a lot.It makes a huge difference.Clarity of playing is Paouris' trademark.Find him on youtube and judge for yourself. The guy is almost unknown and the best in the world at the same time.Don't get me wrong.I'm not provoking because I love Joscho and Bireli very much.Only trying to be equitable.
@@tulussitungkir356 You're welcome.I'm glad you watched him. There's more incredible stuff on youtube by him. Also, you must know that his prime instrument is bouzouki!!!
Aside from all the techniques and the fearlessness to attack whatever comes through his mind, Biréli always had this look of picking up a guitar after a satisfying meal, which looks immensely cool to me somehow.
I stumbled upon Joscho on RU-vid looking for Django songs and my life is so much better now that I know him. This guy is a world class musician and it makes me so happy to see this skilled of a person playing this kind of music. Just hope he comes to the states again so I can see him live.
These 2 are so special. They bounce! The passage towards the end where they chord instead of single note is delightful. I would ask that those being critical of one or the other, just keep it to yourself. We’re lucky to have this performance to enjoy. Their interplay is so far above others.
What joy. Two guitar wizards enjoying what they do and apparently each other’s company. It dos t matter what skill level you have in any instrument, the melody is the thing. Take enjoyment from the sounds. I’ll happily strum away...I should have started 50 years ago but hey, I should have started listening 50 years ago!
When I say to people that I can play guitar, after seeing this I believe I've been lying all over the place. Bireli is smooth has a more soften progression on the solos but Joscho just leaves me with my chin dropped, so sharp, so fast so clean and so flawless, besides Ingie Malmsteen I never thought that this playing would be possible to achieve in any acoustic guitar. I take my hat off.
Not kidding..... likely the 2 best Gypsy jazzers ever to grace earth under Django of course..... honestly I prefer josco over Django with his modern flares and incorporation of some Bebop and even country double stop style, he's truly a maestro , as is lagrene
This videos just makes me happy, I don't know maybe the smiles on the faces and top quality playing by the maestros. Also Beautiful guitars, who's the maker? Thanks.
I came across Joscho whilst working my way through my hero Tommy Emmanuel's videos; what a player! I love his simple stuff, like "Hey, Joe" (turn your Bass up for that one) as well as this sort of stuff, but most of all I like his sense of humour. There are little musical jokes in almost everything he plays.
josho follows the groove beautifully absolutely choppin it up but still keeping with the melody but birelli omg how do find a flow of almost wrong notes but rightt notes as a collective so seamlessly blows my f....k..g mind wow from new zealand and your chords mean cuz mean out the gate
I want to see Bireli play with Yamundu Costa. If we ever get back to going to see Gigs it would be a great if they could play together they could play separately I would put up money to hear such talent and they are such funny kind people offstage you just have to be smart to appreciate their insights
Hey Eric, Biréli was guest at my album "guitar heroes" (including Stochelo Rosenberg & Tommy Emmanuel as well) - check it out :) www.joscho-stephan.de/shop
