van Zyl's tackling is indeed shit. Was still interfered with. The 2nd try pass clearly went backwards initially. That's all that matters. Pretty straightforward out of the laws. Still think the Bulls were lucky to draw.

@@Olivierstreet There is nothing in the rules that backs up what you have just said. If you get in front of the ball carrier and in any way interfere with the wannabe tackler, that is obstruction. The laws recognise the difference between a good solid tackle leading with the flat part of the shoulder as you are supposed to, and say for example, an ankle tap because someone is preventing you from getting better contact on the ball carrier. The fact that you may actually get a hand on the ball carrier's ankle does not negate the fact that there is a player blocking you.

This match was in Auckland not in Christchurch.
