The product does not come with a user manual. Check this pinned comment for important tips. To connect via Bluetooth, do these in sequence: 1) Fn+Bluetooth (1 key) 2) Fn+Device (Q/W/E key) 3) Fn+Connect (C key) That will make the keyboard visible. Open Bluetooth on your device and connect. This is a trackpad, but it is identified as a mouse in some operating systems. So, turn OFF the "mouse acceleration" for a smoother experience. To turn off NUM LOCK in Windows: FN+Num Lock To turn off NUM LOCK in Linux: FN+CTRL+Num Lock The keyboard drinks batteries. Stick to rechargeable AAA's. Duracell are the best. If you can, charge them with a USB charger and a powerbank. Since the powerbank shuts off soon as the charging is complete, there is never a chance of the batteries over-charging and they will last for quite some time. The links to these products are in the description. My observation is the product has more range on Bluetooth than the 2.4GHz dongle. So, if you need choose, use Bluetooth for the device that is farther. Before you buy: This product has mixed reviews on Amazon. My advise is that you test it out thoroughly during the first 7 days so that you can exchange it if there are any issues. Mine is still working fine, but your mileage may vary. These kids are setting new standards for reviews. So well structured, concise and precise with alot of info, tests and comparisons. I wanted to be like you back in the days but unfortunate life. Good luck to u guys.
Bro, you are just out of this place!!! the calmness and absence of any annoying background music and just simplicity in your videos at the same time giving the information to the point and even recommending good things honestly, I don't comment generally but I did here! Rise and shine bro!!🤗🤗 and I subscribed bro!😁😁
Your explanation and the detailing of everthing is mind blowing. You are one of the rarerest tech tubers. But do not be discouraged by the views you got in your videos your work and the quality knowlegede you are sharing makes you stand out from the crowd and I mean it when I am saying these words.
I’m subscribing, reminded me of young MKBHD, Austin & Linus. When this kid’s channel grows. I can say i was here from a very long time 😂. Good job on review. And also 🎖️for not bombarding with “friends/dosto”. Keep improving the standards.
hats off guru... haven't seen such a review where someone has done teardown in the product review video along with mentioning the specifications... very nice... keep it up
I had started making tech videos over a decade ago, being the first guy to unbox iPhone 4 in India, I see the same fire in you, your editng and confidence is excellent, keep doing the hard work. and thanks for talking about this KB battery life. 7 days is awful.
kid is good with technicAl/selliNg skills. I can see number hours he put it to make this video. if i will be owning a company he would be the lead sales head. All the best kidddo
bro i am writing thix comment with my portronics bubble keyboard and you are doing great i just wanna say that how come your age anyone can be so calm and perfectly with everything described. keep it up bro you just gained a new subscriber
The main disadvantage of membrane keyboard and advantage of mechanical keyboard is the n-key rollover. In most of the membrane keyboards only a limited number keys will be registered when pressed simultaneously. But even the cheapest mechanical keyboards support n-key rollover - you can press all the keys simultaneously and all of them will be registered. This is very much useful for gamers. There are several online websites that offers n-key rollover tests. And another big advantage of mechanical keyboard is the durability.
That's absolutely spot on. Thanks for the detailed explainer. I pointed it in a review that I did a couple of years ago: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cWid8kojFzs.html But, back then I did not use the word rollover. I called it anti-ghosting, which is probably semi-wrong. Yes, mechanical keyboards are very durable. But, they are very bulky too. Can't imagine carrying them around. Of course, none of them come with trackpads anyway.
You explained each and everything about the product....you are far more better than so call TECH Influencers ......you deserve more views and appreciation than them...
1st time watching your video. I am your fan the way you have explained each and every aspect is brilliant. You are winning at what you are doing. If you don't do so it would have been just another channel. Hats to your attention to detail. You have answered every question that the product buyer may have. Please continue doing it.
Very good and on point. In fact portronics shall pay you for this informative video. A subtle background music might enhance the audio experience of this video.
Thank you for the appreciation 🙂 I do NOT accept payments for REVIEWS. It goes against the very concept of a review. I will explore the music option that you suggested. I used for a video earlier, but the audio on that was recorded off a mobile phone. It is here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LIG-1PVGTrw.html
Congrats dear.🎉 Your explanation is amazing...! This item might be a chinese product imported by portronics and marketing is done by them. That might be the reason why there's no operating manual with the product. Anyway, thanks for your video.
The best review bro, you are way way better than all the well established tech reviewers on RU-vid and most are sponsored and very rare to find genuine review… this type of reviews were popular in earlier days now it’s just sponsored with oud background noise and led lights and calling tech channel….keep it up buddy..subscribed!!
Thank you very much for the appreciation. I did not know this style of reviewing was popular some time ago. I did what comes naturally to me, and I am glad you liked it. Regards :)
It’s really helpful as I ordered the same keyboard from Amazon so I came to know about this keyboard and I found really helpful Video . Thanks dude & keep going 🎉
I noticed your voice changed in 2 years, i remembered myself with cracked voice. Puberty is hitting boys good luck with the channel and i hoe to see more videos
good review, i wish i watched this before buying the product, I would have bought this either way, .... the only thing that was not up to my satisfaction was that the keyboard in not rechargeable, i mean take the batteries out and put them back in is a task. also I realize the track pad buttons are hard to press.
Thank you Sir ji. Aap ko woh RU-vid channel banana chahiye, itna acchaa comment likh sakte toh mere khayaal se aap ka content be shaayad dhamakedaar hoga :)
Hello, I have not tried it with Samsung. In theory, it should work, the keyboard part of it for sure. I suppose Portronics can answer this better: help@portronics.com
Thanks! I will try to. Since you want to use it for office purpose, you might want something more heavy duty. If it is just the keyboard without bluetooth, consider the RED SWITCH model that we have reviewed here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cWid8kojFzs.html Red switches are silent and do not disturb others at work.
Hi, possibly the keyboard is in NUM lock, which is why it is typing a number instead of the alphabet. Is the blue LED on Num glowing? To bring it to regular mode, press "Fn" and "Num lock"(F11) keys together. On some operating systems (Linux) you need to press "Ctrl"+"Fn"+"Num lock"(F11) keys together. You don't have to do this every time if you set the Num lock to OFF in the BIOS. Thanks.
Does this work through walls with Bluetooth suppose you have PC in your bedroom and you go to the other room then this keyboard will work with Bluetooth connectivity through walls or not?
Hello, sorry for the delayed response, I am in the midst of exams. From what I understand, you want to keep you CPU on the other side of the wall and connect to it using Bluetooth. In theory, it should work since Bluetooth signal can transmit across walls. But, it adds a latency (delay), which you might not like. Also, since the signal gets attenuated across the wall, the keyboard bumps up the Bluetooth transmit power, which might result in reduced battery life. Thanks.
bro i want to buy this one is it still working fine the keys and the trackpad before i used flipkart keyboard but it stopped working i can across your video and found helpfull
Yes, it is still working. It's not my main keyboard though. I use a mechanical KB on my main computer. It is this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cWid8kojFzs.html Which one you should choose depends on the intended use. If it is for heavy use and you don't need Bluetooth, go with Logitech. It will give you many years of service. It is a tad expensive though: amzn.to/3JFlfTU
I have 2 questions , (1) did you tried "bluetooth" version on linux , does it works ? or have to connect through dongle ? (2) how much the "non rechargeable " AAA battery last ? if it is 2 or 3 months then it is also good for me , btw exellent review
(1) I need to test if it works in Linux, but, I think it should do alright. I will update you on this. (2) You need rechargeable batteries with this keyboard. My AAA rechargeables are 800 mAH and they run out in a week. I guess the same goes with non-rechargeable alkaline batteries too. Thanks :)
Yes indeed! It is still working. If you see my latest video, it is the keyboard that I am using: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hGhz7acj9N0.html However, it drinks batteries as I've mentioned in the video. I am using Duracell AAA Rechargeables, and they last a week at max. I have connected it to two computers, one using the dongle and the other via Bluetooth, and I switch between them as necessary. Anyways, I still do NOT recommend this product as of now, reason being the negative reviews on Amazon.
😊 Nice name, right! Arjun is my younger brother. I have used both RDP and VNC, and experimented with them thoroughly. Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be glad to answer them.
Do you have any idea how to customize the trackpad gestures on the keyboard.? Changing windows settings does not change settings of portronics keyboard.
I tried it with an iPhone. The keyboard worked alright, but I could not get the trackpad to work over Bluetooth. You need to tun ON Assistive Touch for it to work, but I do not have the iPad to test it. I will let you know if I get hands on one. Thanks.
Just learning Hindi, excuse me if there are any mistakes. Keyboard theek chal raha hai. Koi dikkat nahi hai. Windows mei Bluetooth acchaa kaam kar raha hai, lekin jyaada battery istemaal kar raha hai, dongle se compare kare toh. Mei rechargeable batteries upyog karta hoon Duracell ka, sirf ek hafta chal rahe hai. Aap ye keyboard khareedney ke liye soch rahe toh, mere khyaal se ye light use ke liye acchaa rahegaa. Heavy use ke liye Mechanical KB behatar kaam ayegaa. Dhanyavaad.
It should work alright. I have tested it with phones but not the iPad. Since it uses Bluetooth, it will connect alright. Also, there is a iOS button that customizes the keyboard for Apple devices. Connect it this way: 1) Fn+Bluetooth (1 key) 2) Fn+iOS (Q key) 3) Fn+Connect (C key) I see that Bluetooth offers better range than the 2.4G dongle on this keyboard. One more thing, turn OFF mouse acceleration for a smoother experience with the trackpad.
Even with dongle it shows as wireless keyboard and not as bubble pro works fine with dongle. On mobile and TV (Android) detected as bubble pro and paired with no issue. Returned for 4 to 5 times with replacement same result. Tried on PC without bt with dongle shows wireless keyboard and not bubble pro. Both pc and laptop running on win 10 pro with latest updates. It may be drivers for windows not installed or not available. Have u tried on windows with Bluetooth and detected as bubble pro? If yes on which version of win?
Hello, sorry about the delayed reply. I had to check things before I reply. It works alright for me on Windows 11. I recorded it, you will possibly find it useful: ru-vid.comVlm-fhk42CQ?feature=share Thanks
Ok thanks but m using windows 10 on fujitsu laptop. It's not showing as bubble pro. But it is detected as wireless device with wifi and no device with Bluetooth.
Hello, with the wireless dongle, any device will show the DeviceName of the one connected over USB, not the remote device. In this case, the DeviceName is just "Wireless Device". With Bluetooth, it will show the broadcast name of the Bluetooth device. As with your Fujitsu laptop, I suspect the Bluetooth version is not compatible with this keyboard.
@@ArjunAndVishnu do you know of any good wireless keyboard with backlight? I find it tough to type on my logitec wireless keyboard. I had a Logitec k830 it was a wonderful keyboard, but after a few years it suddenly started typing in doubles and died.
I tested it with an iPhone, and it works alright. Should be the same with iPad too. However, I want to pass a word of caution about this product. While mine's still working fine, I see from the reviews that few others are not. If you can up the budget, go for something from Logitech. Their products work for eternity.
Still works alright! But, it is not my first preference keyboard though because the key travel distance is not to my liking. Saves battery in Bluetooth mode only. Flashes red LED when battery is low, but only once and for a few seconds, which is tough to catch if you are away from the PC. Feels fragile, but is actually durable. I dropped it quite a number of times, and it is still functioning. Trackpad does not work with iOS.
