Bluetooth Kit for Mazda MX-5 Miata 2006-2008 by GTA Car Kits 

My son bought me the Pure Bluetooth unit for my '57 (Late 2007) plate, UK Mazda MX-5. It is simple to fit with even basic knowledge, if you follow the RU-vid video. However, it is a less complex installation on the the UK Right Hand Drive version for the following reasons. 1. There is no metal bracket under the steering column to remove. 2. There is no 10mm bolt retaining the combined Bose Radio and HVAC control. Also I found it possible to install the microphone without removing the door weather strip, by just popping the side panel and hinging it outwards and releasing the 'A'- Pillar panel. I also put the blue tooth unit in the glovebox and will attach it with double sided sticky pads, so that I can insert the AUX and Lighting cables only when needed. Overall I enjoyed the installation process. Gives you a sense of achievement, especially when you discover the fantastic sound reproduction. And the telephone is really clear. So happy with this unit; what a great solution.

I'm a 63-year old woman who loves her 2006 Mazda Miata. First off, there was NO hidden bolt on my 2006 Miata. I only figured this out reading the comments. The rest was easy peasy to install. I'm so stoked at listening to my music and being able to use the phone via bluetooth now! (I think the hidden bolt was missing because there had been a previous install of an old-skool iPod module, so maybe they didn't replace the bolt? Just guessing on that one. So glad the hidden bolt was missing.)

Just did this on a 2007 Miata with Bose and it didn't have the hidden bolt on the left side so the whole process was even easier than the video (not counting the frustration trying to find the non-existant hidden bolt :)

I have this on my 08 Miata using an android phone. Install was not bad. The problem is connectivity, which is not the best. My phone will link to the devise every time no problem. I am most assured that I could make a call every time. It is playing audio where I have a problem. Could very well be a problem with my phones Bluetooth but I often have to turn my Bluetooth off then on again to get it to play audio. I ended up getting a TUNAI Firefly Bluetooth Receiver on Amazon and have it hooked into the usb and audio jack of this unit. My audio plays through that right away without issue, which makes me think it is more a problem with the GTA kit. Plus I never had issues with audio on the cheap FM transmitter Bluetooth devises. So ultimately, while this works, it is not the best option in my opinion.

Hi guys, I saw your videos from few years ago, I'm planning on buying a Mazda 3 ts 1.6 petrol Hatchback from 2005, do you guys have any info on the Audio System, is it any good, I'm a big fan of good stereo systems but I'm looking for something cheap right now, I used to have a Mazda 6 with bose Audio. I'm curious if the Mazda 3 has anything good to offer.
