I've got one (EB70) and 120w folding pannels. Great unit and am able to cook on induction (vango sizzle) and used a travel kettle. Bright summer days the solar is able to keep up with discharge.

You are 100% right that the ability to camp based on the need for one single electrical item can be make or break. I've just bought a similar power bank (coughecoflowdelta2cough) for my mobility scooter and it is GAME CHANGING. No more being restricted to campsites with EHU! Admittedly there will still be weather related limitations in terms of recharging the station, but it will comfortably give me a weekend away without needing to be recharged. Absolutely amazing, I love how this technology is improving life for people in ways the makers probably didn't even consider when they designed these units.

This is a great comment. You use one for mobility scooter. Fantastic. Stay safe

@@urbanarkoverland honestly, it's fantastic. For those interested, A 1000w unit gives me about 10 miles on the scooter. That's two days of dog walks. And in full sun the solar panel will recharge it at a bit more than the 200w (ish) draw of the scooter charger. So with the through charging these units have, that's basically 4 hours to recharge both unit and scooter at the same time. Amazing technology that just wasn't around when I started van camping with a mobility scooter over a decade ago. I love it!

Been camping most years now for 30+. Never once needed a power bank. If the other half needed one special item I’d get a new other half.. And for that price🤯 Ok must admit the usbc in the T6 is handy 😮 Great videos

I know £600 is a lot. But a lithium battery alone is that. Had someone comment and say that power banks has opened a new world for them. As they have a mobility scooter 👍🏻

Yes, I have the same problem with the EB70s and running one of my mini fridges. I am going to match a soft start module and get it run. Otherwise, it is a very good kit and keeps my drones and dc fridge powered.

Hi....one problem i found with this and an oukitel p2001 is that when the ac inverter is on and simultaneously i use the usb for smartphone charging ,the phone is affected going crazy opening and closing apps and other phenomena like screen being pressed etc. so beware of your phone being charged simultaneously with tha ac inverter being on for some weird electromagnetic interference

These are dropping in price which is good for us, is there away to connect a fuse board to it like the bigger model has the RV cable, if so this would be my choice over a full install and then just add a solar panel to the van to charge it? Thanks

👍 Good video again! Sounds like a good bit of kit, I've got a garage that I'm turning into a mancave, will probably get one of the larger ones as my garage has no electricity, and just charge it up from my T6 California, as I'm living in it most of the time, as i sold my flat! I wonder how long one of the larger one's would last, for use of basic lighting, small TV, PlayStation 5. I haven't really got any idea about portable electrical batteries, any ideas?

We are building a campervan at the moment, Peugeot Boxer L3H2. Almost ready now but we have been making some test trips. When planning the 12 / 230V system last year I decided a EB70 could do the job for us and I saved lot's of money this way. Although I did buy a 1500 Watt inverter and lots of other needed items I changed plans and sold all. We have allmost all running on 12V. A 12V Mestic compressor coolerbox is consuming the most. But at 11 Watt average use per hour @ 25C we still could be 48 hours off grid. Some 3 watt led lights, a 12V waterpump and phone charging is about all. For longer trips we do have a small bread baking machine that takes around 285 Watt for baking 1 bread. Also a small electric kettle and a coffee maker. But that is for luxury as we have a small gas stove also. Not to forget a rocketstove for the real outdoor experience... 😉 For us the versatile ways to charge the EB70 is indeed a big plus. We have 230 hookup and I build in a 230 > 24 Volt Meanwell transformer in the van as charger for the EB70. Also a 100 Watt portable solar panel. In combination with charging from the sigaret lighter in the console I think you can not go wrong. We also bought a 50 Ah Eco-Worty LifePO4 battery that can be charged from 230 with a charger. That could also be used to extend the use of the EB70. Both by charging it or by taking over the 12V part in the van. The sigaret plug lead of the 12V leisure system can be switched from EB70 to battery and back. That is also used when charging the EB70 with the solar panel. The van can be in the shade, we take the EB70 out and set up the panel in the sun. This way we have a system with which I can be off grid for about 4 days, even without sun or charging while driving. EB70 and the battery weigh about 15 kilos. And everything is lightweight and can be taken out of the van when needed for some other use. 😀
@urbanarkoverland

Well it seems you have a system that suits your needs just right. That’s the key. Everybody’s needs are different 👍🏻

Eb3a is my favorite small generator. However, it's failed after about 2.5 years as my stand-alone power supply for my 12v fridge connected to a single 100w panel, cheap enough to just replace it

I could kick myself ya. I filmed it. But cut it out as it messed with the flow ha. Yeah it charges mine. But I guess it depends on the watts needed. My one charges at less that 400watts. That’s where that little white tester comes into it 👍🏻
