i have been watching blundstone videos nonestop as i am trying to decide which one to get... and by faaaarrrrrr... your video is the best out there. 😊👍 thank you and keep making great videos.
I’m sure she will, they are honestly pretty incredible boots! Blundstone have really produced the goods! And yea awesome the 1609’s look incredible too!
Great overview very helpful thanks. I am so glad you addressed these being Nubuck as even Blundstone website does not tell you that. How do you clean them?
just bought some. im normally a 6.5 . So i bought the size 4. , which is normally a size 7. So i got a half size up and put two insoles in the bottom and they fit great. the top back of the boot digs into the back of my leg a bit, but im hoping that goes away as I break them in.
Thanks for the video. I bought my first pair of Blundstones (rustic brown 585) a month ago and they are easily my all time favorite pair of shoes. I'm already thinking of buying a second pair in the rustic black color - do you think this color is more of a charchol grey? Trying to get away from black...
Hi thanks so much for your comment! ☺️ Yea I did the same they are such awesome boots! And yea I agree, to me it’s definitely more of a charcoal grey than a black ☺️ It’s definitely not a regular black at all!
This review has helped understand the different models. My kids have the rustic brown which are 585s. So I thought that that was the model number for the newer type of Blundstones but after watching your video I see that the number relates to the color too. So how do you keep these clean or revive them when they get all scuffed or worn down?
Thanks reln72, really appreciate the comment! They really are great boots, I am actually posting a video on this topic soon 👌 be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out! ☺️ Cleaning then from day to day (I wouldn’t recommend over doing it) can mostly be done with a damp rag with warm water. If you want to revive them then you can go about using mink oil however this does significantly darken the boots, so it’s not something I’m keen on doing myself and haven’t tried, so I would reserve for seriously beat up pair of boots knowing it will completely change their look👌
Great video mate! I’m trying to decide between the 585 in rustic brown and the 550 in walnut brown. I intend to pair them with black or blue jeans. Do u have any suggestions or recommendations?
Thanks mate really appreciated! I'd personally go the 585's anyday over the 550's. If you wanted something different i also really like the 587's and the anniversary series 150's. the 585's and 587's go amazingly with black jeans. I haven't worn them as much with blue jeans (they do go great with blue denim shorts so im assuming they would look pretty good with blue denim jeans also. But i cant really comment on having paired them with blue jeans. The other more unique option if you can fing your size online is the anniversary 150 series which go amazingly with both blue and black denim (i only don't have a pair as they are limited editions and i sadly cant find my size online. Thanks for the comment really appreciate it :)
@@themooreview3470 thanks for the reply mate, I think I’ll have a look at the anniversary as well then..., keep doing what ur doing, the videos r great! 😁
@@Nathan-bg6bu No worries at all! Thanks mate really appreciate it, my study/works got in the way of my channel currently but i'm trying to get back into the swing of things next month. Comments like this make me even more keen to so i appreciate the kind words! Hopefully see you about in the comments on future videos :) Cheers once again! :)
Hey man what renovating cream would you use for the colour of these boots because i own a pair and i cannot figure out which is the right cream to buy. Thanks.
While I haven't had to do this yet, looking on the Blundstone website they recommend 'Rustic' for both Rustic Black and Rustic Brown boots. As these are the rustic blacks this would be my recommendation. I understand your confusion however, I think the black option seems to be for the more classic leather looking boots such as the Blundstone 510's, but i cant say i have used this personally. Thanks for your comment, really appreciated and let me know how you go!
They were made in Australia up untill the mid 2000’s. I think 2007. They then sadly moved overseas due to manufacturing costs. However they have been manufactured in Asia for over a decade and I’ve been wearing them near 12 months now and they still are really great boots! ☺️
@@themooreview3470 thanks for the quick reply! I’ve had several pairs of Blundstones dry rot on me. I’ve been told it’s because of the humid environment I live in (Florida, USA). Something about hydrosis (spelling?). Bluestone was good about replacing them via warranty. I’ve moved on to some R.M Williams, but they’re not as comfortable. I may give Redback a try.
@@jackchn23 No worries at all! Yea i cant say I've experienced that but i do live in a non humid city (Tasmania australia). Blundstone are. a great company so i'm glad they replaced them! Ive heard good things about RM's but i'd be hesitant about wearing them the same places i'd wear blundstones (purely for the price point of view). Cant say i'm too familiar with Redback but be sure to let me know if you have a good experience with them and i'll purchase a pair and do a review!
Great vid mate. Can I ask. Do you get any heal slip at all in these it the other pair you have? That one thing I find anoying with Chelsea style boots. They fit great but just get that little bit of movement over the heal.
Thanks mate really appreciate it! No i can honestly say i haven't had any issues so far with heel slipping (or any other issues)! I know what you're referring to also, which is super frustrating as i have experienced it was past Chelsea boots too! Hope this helps!
I made the same mistake with oil on my boots and now they are darker. Does the original colour return? And also, can tell me which spray you use? Thanks!
Hi Tosan, thanks for your comment. Yea unfortunately it’s a pretty common mistake to make, and unfortunately I think if it’s not permanent then it is for a very very long time (years). There may however be ways to reverse this but I am unable to comment on their effectiveness as I haven’t had to try them. For my water proofing I just used my local shoe shops leather/suede spray (platypus) I’m also currently making a video currently on how to clean and care for and protect your blundstones. Thanks again for your comment and be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out ☺️
I’ve seen videos from a channel called The Iron Snail, he has the rustic brown and has a video of using oil on them, and they get real dark. Makes a video a year later and they look much lighter. Hope this helps dude
If they have it available I would buy a size 11 or 10.5, (US 12-11.5) it’s a tough one though as everyone’s foot shape is so different. Ideally I would try a pair on in a shoe shop pre purchase. I have a size 9 and a 9.5 which both fit (I’m usually a uk9.5/us10.5) if you can’t try them on though I’d go for an 11 or a 10.5 (aus/uk)
After wearing them for near 2 year I would have to agree that it’s not as durable and it is more susceptible to scuffing. So they are Probably better overall as a dress boot than as a work boot! But I absolutely love mine still and will be buying a new pair when this pair needs replacing
Hi, thanks for your comment ☺️ I’m wearing a pair of black skinny jeans by saint morta. I really love the way skinny jeans sit with these boots! Cheers again for your comment, it’s hugely appreciated ☺️
@@zikarone345 Thanks so much for your comments! I’ll keep it up! I’m really Enjoying it so far, and I’ll hopefully see you in future comments sections 👌 Cheers again and I hope you’re doing well! ☺️
