You people have voted both left and right but nothing has changed. Haven't you still learnt not to trust politicians?

Under this government to say Mahama is better? Mahama is far worse and has no bright ideas to help Ghana.

@@AYTM1200 Ghana’s inflation is 23% and going down. That 54% was due to panic and not sustainable. Nigeria’s inflation was lower than Ghana last year but now at 33% and climbing. This Ghana government is actually brilliant but people don’t give them enough credit. Mahama would’ve collapsed Ghana.

Didn't they start the protest peacefully till some youths were killed by the Police? Should we just be spectator while political thief's keep on adding up the debt that only benefit they and their people?

@@emmanuelankomah6343 elected lawmakers in parliament from the major political parties need to debate the fairness of the inevitable taxes. Kenya owes both local and foreign lenders, just as Ghana. Lawmakers are making far more than the average Kenyan and so lawmakers should set a good example by reducing their salaries and benefits. Parliament should even invite civil societies and students to offer suggestions. Then taxation consensus can be reached without destructive demonstrations that could set Kenya back a decade.

@@emmanuelankomah6343 you clearly believe unnecessary violence and destruction solves problems. People will have to sit down to develop a solution to the debt and suffering, and so running around the town destroying property will not do it.

People revolting due to high taxes is a tale as old as time, so saying "under no circumstances" is a little disingenuous. In addition, revolutions and violent protests have served as the catalyst for positive change. Not always, not often even, but it does happen. Kenya, it could be argued, is an example, but we have the obvious French revolution and American independence stories. Personally, im not advocating for that, but if things keep going the way they are, violent action seems like the logical conclusion. You cant keep your hand in flames and be surprised if you get burnt.

@@degreeskelvin3025…are you serious? In this modern times when information is readily available for any one to analyze. The economic information available does not require a violent response. Kenya is in debt, just like Ghana, and the solution is not what is happening in the streets. What’s the point of revolting and causing destruction of your own community or buildings? What’s next? Attacking your own elected officials? Violence begets violence. Do you know that the people leading this destructive demonstration in Kenya are made up mostly of opposition groups who lost the last elections? So it’s not even a revolt by the average non-partisan Kenyan. Kenyans in the streets can cause all the mayhem and at the end of the day, the debt will still be there. Even after removing their elected leaders. The solution is not violence and destruction.

Which one is the productive please? The state stealing or debt pile up

@@dadoboye1536 "Kenyans in the streets can cause all the mayhem... The debt will still be there" the mayhem they caused literally got Ruto to NOT sign that economic deal. IT WORKED. Regardless of who is behind it, if the goal was to prevent the signing of the deal, it worked. Peacefully protesting would have meant the deal would pass through and theyd need to wait for the next election to vote and *hope* something happens.
