Watch to discover how to blur any area (face, license plate, other object) in Final Cut Pro, whether that be a still or something that requires tracking.
That's right, you can blur any object with the out of the box functionality included in Final Cut Pro (no plugin required). Simply use the Gaussian installed effect, drag that to the object or area that requires blurring, adjust the area to be blurred, and click on the tracker button if needed. FCP does the rest for you. It really is so simple. You can also fine tune the blur effect to get it just how you want it.

How do I trim / stop the tracking in the timeline?

I copy and paste the clip and put it above the same spot on the timeline. I cut that down to just the part I need to blur, and it works well.
