I feel certain the indigenous people can tell more about the river. Go back to the incidents of Standing Rock. Water is life.

I grew up in Davenport, Iowa on the Mississippi and often played on its shores, crossed it on ferry boats, sandbagged during floods, and sat next to it in parks. I love this river and it helped put me in touch with the native American spirits that once populated its shores.

Yay! I have a different appreciation for this video, as I'm a Mississippi resident. I have done work on the land and the waters, as both hold traumas that need to be healed. This area not only hold energies of slavery but that of the Civil War and the forcing of the Native American people from their property to west of the Mississippi. The Trail of Tears is imprinted all around me as I continue to bless the land, anchor light, and pray for healing of all heartaches, and broken promises. Bless you for confirming what I saw- the blue light moving deep underground.💙🌊😂🦸‍♀🧙‍♀🦅

I live in Minnesota - Itasca word to mean "true head" in honor of the river's start. I recently collected stones from the Pacific Ocean (they feel like Lemurian frequency the stones were talking loud and clear - they wanted to come home to Minnesota with me, I thought they were for my massage business. Now I hear some would like to go to the river. I will walk around my home and see what crystals I have gathered that would like to go play in the river. I love how we all co create together. Great share, thank you!

Earthquakes made the Mighty Mississippi River flow north for several hours in 1812. The same year the War of 1812 broke out between the Britsh and the Americans. Who says human emotions don't cause earth's energies to change. Hate and Love....pretty profound isn't it! Thanks Nancy for the reminder that our thoughts are indeed manifested! ☘️💚☘️

I grew up along the Mississippi River. My great grandparents came from Germany in 1839 to escape religious persecution. They farmed the river bottoms and are buried near the river. Cahokia mounds in Illinois near the Mississippi is an ancient site. The remains of ancient red haired giants were found there in the 1800’s. Thank you for this information, there is much healing that is needed in this ancient sacred place. 🙏💞

I grew up and live about 8 miles from the Mississippi in Rogers Minnesota-before the river gets to Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota. Crossed it every day in a bus to go to school. Still live here. Did childhood trauma healing as adult with a hypnotherapist on my experience of open heart surgery at age 7. I held a rock during my session and made a ceremony of lobbing it into the Mississippi.

I was born in south Louisiana and the erosion that has occurred in my lifetime has decreased the coastline of Louisiana many miles. When the river was allowed to flood it was life giving as it built up the lands along the river. The Gulf of Mexico is brown due to the silt of the Mississippi River for 10 to 15 miles into the gulf. But, many would be affected if flooding was allowed along the river as happened hundreds to thousands of years ago. Energetically much healing can occur to the states through which the river runs. I agree.

MISSISSIPPI: Meaning "great river" or "gathering-in of all the waters," sometimes referred to as the "father of waters," indicating that the Indians were aware of the immensity of the river. First written by Tonti as "Michi Sepe.” MISSOURI: An Indian tribal name denoting "muddy water” and named for the large river. Thank you for your Gifts and Talents Nancy 💧❄️

I live a few miles from Lake Itasca and visit the headwaters often. It’s a place that is VERY life giving. During the summer, I will bathe in her waters as many times as I can, to receive her healing. In my Anishinaabe culture (who come from this area), she is a sacred living being and we sing the Nibi Song (water song) In ceremony which honors her with thanks and love.

Pam Gregory astrologer is an amazing, great resource! Thanks for mentioning her You Tube channel and website, I live New Orleans. We are at the tail end of the river. Water is what makes this city. And the river is the economic engine. But it’s been “under control” by the Corps of Engineers to make cities successful and protected for so long. The river is one of the reasons the energy here is so amazing. Very excited to hear this from the channeling :)

Interesting. My husband and I have camped many years at an Army Corps of Engineer campground right on the Illinois side of the river. I can sit on a bench there and just relax. There are many white pelicans and some eagles living there too. Also, students come out from a university in May/June to study turtles in the campground. Another feature is ancient mounds scattered throughout the area. The largest mound in called Monks mound, which sits near the MS shores near St. Louis. These mounds are called Cahokia and are quite old.

Lived in Minnesota for 50 years and didn’t see the Mississippi headwaters until I was 43! It’s amazing, it just starts out as a marshy lake. The Ojibwe name for it was Omashkoozo-zaagaigan which means Elk Lake but white man changed it to Itasca which means true source (the true source of the river they meant).

Working with our bodies of water is something I feel called to. This is the first thing I woke up to this morning. Ironically, my ancestral blood line on my father’s side is from Cape Girardeau, which is on the Mississippi. This is the birthplace of really long ancestry in my family. So I feel very called to this as a Blue Ray.

I grew up on a lake that was fed by the Mississippi River in Minnesota. I've walked in the beginning of the river in Lake Itasca (eye-tasca). My family grew up on the river, and some still live there. We grew up swimming in the river, fishing, boating.. (lots of blood suckers/leeches, ick. Also has some huge sturgeon!). Over the years we saw the river get more and more dirty and unhealthy. It was sad to notice such a thing. Glad to hear that the river is healing 💙

I grew up a block away from the Mississippi, 50 miles from the mouth of the river. When I visit, I ride my bike along the levee in New Orleans and send love and renewal frequencies from my heart to my dear river. In 2022, I took what I thought would be my last ride along the river. As I sent love, the Mississippi showed herself to me as a deep, crystalline, aquamarine being. She truly responds to our love! It will heal her. Since your post, I have been blessing my drinking water by saying "You are the Mississippi flowing through my body and giving me health. Thank you."

oh the MIghty Mississippi,it was called when i first learned of this River, several trips cross country would allow me to sleep near her shores,in a little town called Hannibal across the way there are locks, barges etc., that make their way,it was peaceful and Grand...also Eagles nesting in the area, pelicans, it was delightful, i got to see her levels high and low....over the years.....great memories....i would like to add an epilogue:When i first heard that water constantly continues to arrive on the earth from the distant reaches of the universe,I was filled with wonderment. from Masaru Emoto, The Hidden Messages in Water, his second book. He also taught how are conscousness can change not only water but ourselves and our world.....peace

I live near the Mississippi and every time a cross it I try to remember to say “I love you river”. I know how important this is. Could you imagine if everyone did this every time they crossed the Mississippi?! Another thought I’ve had is the dams and manmade waterfalls unstructure the water. Natural waterfalls do not. I’m not saying we should remove them all just design them differently. What if the engineers of the future understand the nature of structured water and designed accordingly? The water would then hold its natural template!

"The Ojibwe name for the lake is Omashkoozo-zaaga'igan (Elk Lake). The first European explorers in the area were French Canadian and they named the lake Lac labiche (Doe Lake, often mistranslated as Elk Lake).[2] The name was later changed by Henry Schoolcraft to "Itasca", coined from a combination of the Latin phrase veritas caput ("true head [of the Mississippi]").[3][4] It is one of several examples of pseudo-Native American place names created by Schoolcraft." - wiki

I wonder how the vibration of the cicadas this year, in which two specific broods of different life cycles will co-emerge (something that only happens every 221 years) will affect the Mississippi. It runs through some of the states with large cicada populations and there will be trillions of them.
