This is ridiculous. This is 2024 and no picture or video should be blurry and unwatchable regardless of what phone they are coming from or going to. Doing these extra steps is BS.

I handle some pictures as bitmap (bmp) files. Zero compression. If a system attacks a dot bee em pee file, change the suffix and your friend can change it back. I never stored pictures in picture folders on desktops.

I remember when I first found Tyler’s channel. At that time (2019), his channel was called Tylergh. He mainly did Grub Hub video facts and was just starting out with OTA TV. He later did change his name to Antenna Man (after I recommended it to him ironically). I guess after the past few years, rebranding makes sense to keep subscribers and gain new ones (as you can only make so many videos on OTA TV). While I fully support Tyler’s rebranding, I do hope that Tyler won’t completely abandon OTA TV. As always Tyler, this video is very informative, as have your videos since the birth of your channel. Keep up the great, quality and informative content.

In the UK, MMS is also a chargeable service even with unlimited plans and it isn't cheap. If you send media this way, you'll be in for a nasty shock with your next bill.

Good tips. It’s a learning curve for the rest of the family though. I also use RU-vid video’s and simply share those links as well. Your way is much more efficient than someone dumping pictures or video’s into a text message. For one or two photos’ that’s fine, but no one wants 20 text messages of photos after a trip to Tahiti. And yes, I just experienced that. Placing them into Google photos makes more sense for organizing. My family now uses Google photos on their IPhones. They finally learned… I have both Apple and Android equipment. My phone, however, is Android specifically because of it more advanced style, advanced screen and more open and sharing environment but both types of products have their areas of strength. Apple needs to play better in the worldwide sandbox. Many people ARE using both products. Competition is good and there is plenty of room for both to grow. At last check, Apple’s profits are doing well.

Appreciate the advice but even the one picture at a time drastically reduces the resolution to about 2M pixels which is much lower than the original picture quality in most cases.

OT - it looks like Comet tv is discontinued on OTA stations. Does anyone know why this happened? Are there more shutdowns of free channels on the way?

I do so because I enjoy them but I am guessing you only have to pay IF they are played (which means I am taking money out of your pocket just so I can have 15-30 seconds of enjoyment). Because I'm already your customer, should I stop them from playing on RU-vid?"

I've learned this shit the hard way but I know how to retrieve between iOS and android, it's called some kind of external memory.

My problem is more with getting a photo sent by someone else to my dad's flip phone, then he sends it to me and its blurry 😂

Of course android users must use Google messaging to use RCS. No other message apps can use RCS.

If Apple came out with a flip phone from 2005, the fan boys would cry it is the newest and best while the rest of the world laughed at them.

Remember Android users, If you have expensive headphones they're not working correctly because Android downgrades your music unless you have an external DAC.

I like that you are trying something new but I would be doing this on a secondary RU-vid channel instead of using your main channel for this switch. I have a strong feeling you will lose a lot of subscribers who don't care about the Tech side and only care about the OTA side. Lon Seidman already has the Tech Market covered. Maybe do a seperate channel with him instead.
