Honestly youre not wrong, i make sure theres enough backspace in my sound tests

The board just has that premium clack, and how do these switches compare to other popular linears like epsilons or red jackets? maybe even some frankenswitches like creamsicles or bcps?

Epsilons are def deeper in sound. But also are relatively muted switches depending on how much dampening you use. I used them on my acryllic tofu65. Found that using bottom foam muted it too much and i wanted to hear more resonance (given that i had an acryllic case and pc plate). So thats what i opted for

Actually epsilons are known for a thocc sound over being clacky.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the comparison because I haven't had a chance to try those switches yet
