When the COVID-19 lockdown cost him his job, South Florida rapper Blvck Svm decided to release a series of biweekly singles as a last-ditch effort to jumpstart his music career. The first single of that series, “bleach,” released March 2020, caught fire a few months after its release, completely changing his trajectory. 4 years and 75 million total streams later, Svm is now a full-time rapper constantly sharpening his reserved, cerebral style that’s been described as aesthetic rap, lowercase rap, Michelin star rap, and yacht rap.
