@@FireStriker_ It isn't just the algorithm. I know of someone who tested it, and got copyright claims against his own performance of a public domain composition, and even a sample of WHITE NOISE.

I was thinking the same thing, may well be just one of the contacts not well aligned on the original.

From the video, it looks like the metal shaft in the center of the switch assembly might be crimped or peened to keep the switch assembly from coming apart. I'm not sure about this, but I'm not going to take mine apart to find out. :)

@@Okurka. You are correct :) I do have a DM235. I have a fair selection of DMM can't say any of them are super high end but they work well enough for my needs.

There is no voltage drops in relays. Bench lab multimeters have only buttons and they have much better precision than handheld multimeters with a stupid range switch.

Nah. World is just imperfect. Deal with it. You are trying to find a justification to its imperfectness now. This is a bad psychological phenomenon people tend to be trapped into very often. If you really interesting why the rangeswitch is still so popular then ok. First. Plenty of people are just have a fetish on range switch. Dave for example absolutely love how its feel and mention this in many videos. Second. Marketologists are reactionists and tend not to change anything that sells well. Buttons are more convenient but it is not a killer feature. People wouldn't go and buy only Metrix because of buttons. Also this design is only become viable for cheap multimeters for like 7 years and they are slow adopting it.

So you came straight to trolling. This is where you should start.
