very nice bike, i am thinking about a xc fully for a long time now. i came down to a cannondale scalpel-si, a scott spark and this one. its so hard to make a decision, because the market is so damn big
Neil stood out in the pouring rain to review a bike. Trump wouldn't even go to a Veteran's memorial exhibit with a rain coat. Good on ya, Neil. Neil 2020!
Nice. But should have mentioned the purpose of the fork stoppers...it’s so they could straighten the DTube to futher stiffen the bike. Curves cause flex and this bike has few curves and looks as stiff and they come with ultra short linkages and straight lines. But this doesn’t talk about how efficient the bike felt or good the dropper worked or the function of the integrated lock outs.
Can bike reviewers stop reviewing the highest end rigs manufacturers make and do reviews of bikes us mere mortals can afford? Everyone's premium bike is amazing and manufacturers have proved making an amazing bike is easy when you have no budget. I don't think I've ever heard a reviewer give a bad review of one. However, I want to see how these bikes stack up when the price is reduced (e.g $2500-$5000). Let's see if these same manufacturers can make a great rig when they have to make compromises to both the frame and finishing kit.
I have a fox 34 elite performance 120mm. I have the low speed compression totally open. If I close it down, will loose sensitivity over small bumps? And in big bumps?
I am concerned about this very thing. Where I race we don't have aggressive downhills, but more medium climbs and hairpin switchback turns. Wonder how the slack head angle impacts those things.
Hope that this slack trend will affect other brands cross-country bikes. BMC is a little pricey. Would be better with 120mm fork, and I miss old classic black-red color of bmc bikes.
Yes it is. It looks out fork and shock at the same time( open, half , closed) and it worjs really well. Got one of these on one of my bikes and it workes way better than the ones on my other bikes
All these "blah blah network" channels are taking a step backwards, the content wreaks of being rushed out. I'm sorry peeps but I'm not sure I can hang in there much longer, there really are better channels out there :/
