The boot screen for the BMO Operating System (BMOS) 3.14. Merch: byobmo.com/?post_type=product If you wanna help out, You can buy me a coffee: www.buymeacoffee.com/orbian
Poopergeist you can run windows 10 on rasp pi, just look for an arm-based cpu build, its what's used to make things like windows/android dual tablets work
I'm not sure about the exact number. But the case alone is about 30 - 40 pieces of laser cut wood. The internals has 5 custom PCB's and several custom cables. and 4 3D printed appendages and some laser cut acrylic for the front panel buttons. Then you have to put in a Raspberry Pi and HDM screen and battery. Things change with each new build.
arich 707 no, it's a real OS boot screen, you can see the rasp pi boot section if you watch. he mentions in another comment something about a rasp pi zero, which runs for about $10~, great for little projects like this
Crispened Ham Its more likely that he used a ras pi to imitate a real operating system. The boot sequence was probably the only bit of real OS that was shown. I'm not trying to detract from the creativity or how much work had to go into this but it would make no sense to make a whole new OS that's designed to look like something BMO would have and not actually use it. He just drags a few files into the trash and has a cute animation, I'd wanna show off all its features.
You know you can disable the Raspberry Pi OS stuff at the beginning so it doesn't show that if you wanted to. Though it does work well with it on anyways.
I was working on a version of this before I found that the print would have been cost as much as a modern gaming pc for a simple emulation station, but I would suggest using a makeymakey board for key inputs, while setting up usb extensions.
