hahahaha!! Ahh you guys are awesome! Great work on this, Color looked great. Great acting, great script.. the chips in the pocket was hilarious! Good job to everyone involved!
Why its so good, well i me to check out the camera in this situ and was drawn in by the story, then the acting ....and forgot it what it was shot ....great work
BRISK BENBOW thank you! Feel free to watch our latest 2 short films “breaking social distancing” and “the P guy” which I believe came out better than this one, you might like em !
I really liked that. It started off with the stereotypical melodramatic toxic relationship dynamic thing going on and I was almost about to click off until I realized that there was a twist that made it so, so good.
Caden Bicsak thank you so so much! Yeah when we put together these films we know that some people might stop watching before the good stuff comes. Glad you stayed until the end. I’d suggest to check out our latest film “breaking social Distancing”
Nice! I like the story twist at the end. You had me thinking this was just a cliche argument scene, but then you followed through with something new. If anything to improve, I'd say the audio. There were points that were too quiet and points where the audio only comes out of one channel (Right or left, but not together), so I'd just make sure you get the audio set to the right channels (especially for those listening on dual speakers or headphones. But coloring looked good and the lighting as well.
Skinny Media Productions thank you so much. For sure the audio notes are legit. I’m trying to learn to make everything sound better. And yeah absolutely, We wanted to have the first part to feel like a stereotype because it all makes sense when you understand that this is all play between the husband and wife who are trying to embarrass that other guy! Glad you you understood the vibe of it 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you so much!! You should check out some of our most recent ones! Like "unplanned parenthood" and "the p... guy" you will like those as well I guess :D
mentae amare unfortunately I didn’t really take any BTS in some short films because I was way too busy filming..! Now I do, a breakdown of my latest short will come in a few days
I agree and I thought about that but this a friend house and they weren't very excited about us smoking their place up LOL.... I mean It's just haze but people don't like the idea of that. Also the fire alarm would have gone crazy
Thanks man! I truly suggest you to take a look at my most recent shots! I think we got a lot better ever since this one! You can find em all in my channel !
I'm looking to buy a laptop to edit my bmpcc4k braw files(hd,2k and maybe some 4k) on Davinci Resolve 16. Do you mind if I ask you and whoever here willing to answer: #1. Are you using a PC or MacBook? #2. What processor ae you using? #3. What Ram? #4. What graphics card(integrated or dedicated)? Thanks, Carl
Hey man! These are freakin inspiring! Can I ask what your set-up is? Main lenses you use, things like that? I’m really looking at getting the Blckmqcpocket 4k this week!
Ferris ahah thank you! Double twist actually. First twist is the other guy reveal , second twist is that this was all play between husband and wife! Glad you liked it
Yeah I think I’ve come a long way in terms of audio. This was an older film. I’d suggest you take a look at my most recent work , which I think it’s a lot better! I still I’m not an audio person , but as someone who does everything on set without a crew I think my audio got a lot better
well made. well directed. acted all that. But this is starting to confirm my doubts on the pocket 4k. It's sharp. Great quality but just not filmic. While the original pocket and bmcc 2.5k had a digital film look, the pocket 4k has a broadcast video look to it. But damn was this well put together tho.
fourth1000 you know this short was made in only 5 hours and I was the only crew person who took care of camera, directing , lights and audio lol so I mean it could be more cinematic with more people working when you can actually take care more about the DP side of things more. I could only do so much because after that I had to take care of a million other things. I think the BMPCC 4K is pretty cinematic. My video “the colors of Colorado” I think looks very cinematic. This short was a bit on a time constrain and it’s not the best looking stuff I’ve made
@@AxiA it's not that. Your lighting is great. Compositions on point. Long term Blackmagic users have been on the fence about the pocket 4k compared to their other cameras.
@@PeterDiBussolo highlight roll-off is one constituent of film, yes. not the final one. but i must restate i think this director did an amazing job. this is just my opinion on blackmagics product.
Great short. Didn't see that ending coming. Plus, as a fellow owner of the BMPCC4K, I always like coming across videos that were shot with this camera. It reminds me of what a great decision I made getting the BMPCC4K. Right?
breathtaking acting..It was actually funny.. I appreciate the color grading & the whole production.. And bro which lens & mic you used with your bmpcc 4k in this film?
Jimmy Xtreme thank you so much! Actors did very well yes. As Lens I used the Tamron 17-50 2.8 not a great lens but it’s what I have. For audio I used a Lav mic plugged in the 3,5 jack and a boom mic plugged in the mini XLR of the camera! Glad you liked it
Brilliant like always :D can i ask you bts about sound? Whaf microphone for actors, boom pole? Fix stand? About lights? What type of light come in trought the window? Looks good and yor colors to. A little bit retro U.S.A. moovie feeling like back to the future or other stuffs with this skintone and rich saturation. You have complex talent :D
we used a lav and one boom. the boom was rigged to a c stand while the lav was taped to the chest of the actors. as far as lights I used some quasar science tubes, and an aputure 120 D outside.
@@AxiA you are expert. Thank you Mr. My dream is make something shorts like yours. But now i create just corporate works for pay bills. :D your informations very useful.
Hey man, you’re totally right , this was one of our first short film and I made some errors that I realized only when it was already uploaded ! Glad you were able to enjoy regardless of the audio issues. Learned quite a bit from this experience
Helo AxiA! Great work btw but I have a question! In the 2:54 minutes, the image has a lot of noise, but the scene looks well lit, so I ask how its possible the image have much noise? Did you pumped up the ISO or you filmed the whole short in 1080p and later upscaled to 4k?
The noise must be there because of the RU-vid compression. I add film grain to the final product, I believe that might have been the cause of this weird grain which looks bad once the video gets compressed through RU-vid.
Wow!!! Didn't see that coming in NO way!!! Great plot twist. I always wonder how do you get the audio to be this perfect. What kind of mics do you use?
Simple Sandals Media thank you! I think the latest 2 short films came out better than this one , but I’m so glad you liked it. I have a few videos where I breakdown my mic set up. Usually it’s the saramonic Lavaliers and Sennheiser MKE 600
@@AxiA yeah...you're right. After posting this question I saw that break-down video. I have the very same microphone (the MKE600). At first I hated it, but after taking my time to analyse it, it became my favorite mic. I usually plug it into my Tascam DR60DmkII audio recorder. Man, I really love your work and your style. I predict that one day you will be a great factor in Hollywood. That's why I'm glad that you reply to a simple peasant like me 😁 I'm really learning a lot from you. Thank you, man.
Simple Sandals Media lol don’t worry, I wish one day I’ll be able to work with movies! That would be so much fun! Consider subscribing, I’m working on a new short that’s dropping next month that I hope it will be the best one yet!
