Thanks for the video. Will the sensors and auto hold still work if you just connect the 4 wires? I don't mind if the senor on/off button itself doesn't work.
Will the 2013 3 series media remote work on the 5 series 10 pin board. Can the operation be completed similar to how you did in this video? Just connect the 10 pin board to the four pins of the 3 series media controller? If so what would be my configuration to line up the equivalent pins?
My f10 idrive keeps displaying German language and doesn't go into menus for different functions. I watched your video and liked it. Is it something you can help? Michel
Hi. I'm confused about part numbers? Or I can fitted any 4 pin controller who have Navi button? For yours 4 pin controller is 9253944. And there is many more 4 pin controllers with Navi buttons 9267955? Thanks 👍
@@reviewcity3176 first of all, your intuition is a very good job for us, so thanks I’m Italian and not all your words in the video are clear for me So if I well understand you put two solutions In the first you keep the ten pins plug in the old board and you duplicate and connect the firsts four wires to the new knob In the second , you don’t use the old board and you connect the ten pins plug directly to the new four pins knob but in this way you lose the function of parking sensor and Auto H Am I right ?
@@guidoconforti9422 thanks. But not quite. If you follow the instructions and keep the old board connected you will have full functionality. If you choose not to leave the old board connected and just use the newer 4 pin, you can redirect the wires to the 4 pin but you will lose the parking sensors button (the sensors will work, but you cannot turn them on/off on command)

@@guidoconforti9422 I was mistaken about auto h in the video. I must have pressed it whilst something was disconnected. It is unaffected if you direct the 4 pin. It's just the parking sensors button
Hey Luis, sorry man, I've sold the car a while back and don't really remember the full wiring setup any more. If you post your video and tag me and I'll try to help. It was pretty easy, even with trial and error I don't think it will take yiu more then an hour.
@@reviewcity3176 what do you mean? In what order do the colors go ? Do I have to code my car? Do I have to add my old controller to the wiring too ? Im also the wondering If this works for US cars
@@Maf10sorio no coding required. This method you keep the old controller board connected too otherwise the parking sensor button doesn't work. You can just cho pthe wires and connect to the 4 pin but you will lose control over parking sensors.
I've got it done 3 times now on different cars and it's working perfect. Still have it setup on my own car. Recheck the wires please. Maybe they are on the wrong way round?
Is this for the f10 I’ve been trying to find the part number for my 535i xdrive 2011 so I could at least have a back up plan to buy one just in case I can’t fix the module.
