So my son's 2005 1200GS finally went to meet it's maker after the engine dropped a valve at 70mph and literally blew itself to pieces. We had decided to strip it down and sell the parts to get whatever return was possible. But after seeing the bike looking so sad everyday, tugging at my heart strings.....well could it be rebuilt? If not at least it would make an interesting RU-vid video to show how to change the front rubber boot on the final drive, remove the rear shock absorber, take off the swing arm and even get to the clutch. However the word interest I am sure to many will not be right, they would rather watch paint dry, however if you have any thought of this type of repair.....enjoy!
