that is incredible, they built a new / old BMW ? thats like a Dream come true, some individuals are so talented & gifted. Imagine what people would pay for that!!
I had the honor of owning 2 BMW 2002, a 1970 and a 1972 , the 1970 had the sunroof both were manual met my first wife while driving it, both went on a trip to Fresco, and the rest was history. Sold both for very little not knowing they will become LEGENDS, Thank you so much for uploading this Video, healing to watch an know someone is reproducing them.

Ich hatte auch so einen in gelb. Bei mir war der Blinkerhebel rechts vom Lenkrad und es gab schon vor 25 Jahren schon kaum einen der sich mit der Kugelfischer Einspritzpumpe auskannte. Ich gratuliere euch zu eurer gelungenen Arbeit und zeige grossen Respekt!!! Liebe Grüsse, Klaus
Tolles Video. Ich bin selber Bj. 65 und mein erstes Auto war ein roter "73er BMW 1602. Mein zweites Auto war ebenfalls ein 73er BMW; 1802 Die "Null-Zwo" Serie ist wie die erste Freundin: man wird sie irgendwie immer lieben und nie vergessen.
Einfach nur Klasse ... Da sieht man das die Alten Füchse was drauf haben !!!! Und von so leuten hbe ich auch viel gelernt auch in meiner ausbildung zum Lackierer und Karosseriebauer ... Es gibt nichts schöneres wie ein Fahrzeug entstehen zu sehen ... Und das auspacken nach dem Lackieren ist jedesmal wie eine Geburt ... :-))))
Ich hatte einen 1502 und einen 2002. Sehr gute Autos. Beim 2002 hatte ich die Federbeine und Bremse vom ersten 520 Sechszylinder verbaut. Der hatte den selben Lochkreis wie der 02 er. Die Bremsanlage war genial.
So ein tolles Auto. Mein 1502 hatte diese Farbe. Es muss doch möglich, so ein Auto neu zu bauen. Eine moderne Plattform mit neuer Technik, das würde sicher nicht nur mir gefallen. Heutige Autos sehen alle gleich aus.

The orange is Inca as I had one this colour. In UK you would never get your money back for this work. But for a Ford escort MK11 the sky is the limit. I had four two tii's and two 2002's could have rebuilt the engines blindfold as did it so often. The Kugelfischer injection was fun and the engine bombproof apart from the rocker shafts but ultimately the body rust in the UK killed them
Super - 1970 hatte ich auch mal so einen. 2002 tii, 130PS, ockerfarben, mit großen Halogen Nebelscheinwerfern auf der Stossstange und Stababtenne auf dem Kofferraumdeckel. KZ: LB-HL-971.

I had an e34 325 Convertible and e34 sedan. Sold the convertible due to skin cancer scare, now just bought e46 sedan, my son has the e34 sedan. Great cars, great motors, great local dealership cafe as well!.
Where did you get that fender? I bought one from restoration design and the impressions for the turn signals are pathetic. I had the graph together parts of the old fender to make something acceptable. Also it looks like you found a brand new hood I didn't think they were available?
It appears to have started out with an original shell of the car and outfitted with new mechanicals and one off 'custom' hand made interior to match the original. The cost of original BMW parts used in the rebuild down to the last nut would definitely run up the cost if it was done with retail prices charged by the dealer. It would be cheaper to rebuild a Defender from the ground up but a classic such as this is well worth the money if one has a way to get dealer pricing on the parts and not pay retail.
At 8:44 the man sanding has no dust mask. This is not a good idea. And at another point a man is working under a suspended load, while his colleague kicks the floor jack to another position. The quality of the work is superb, but these people are a bit careless with their health.
Sehr schönes Fahrzeug. Allerdings ist mir aufgefallen, dass er während der Fahrt ein tierisches Windgeräusch hat. Ich selbst fahre einen Audi 50. Da spielte auch die vordere Chromleiste an der Motorhaubenkannte "Querflöte". Man muss die Fuge zwischen Chromleiste und Motorhaubenkante mit einem Tape von unten zukleben. Vieleicht fehlt aber auch die Zwischenauflage zwischen Chromleiste und Motorhaubenkante. Weiss nicht wie es beim BMW 2002 ist. Probierts mal aus und der wird mit Sicherheit ruhiger. Ansonsten top!!!! 👍👍👍
I lead loaded a new pair of sills onto an old Jaguar 420G many years ago. I wish I still had that car now. Nowadays it's all filler and seam sealant. His mum is going to be wondering where her curtains have gone, though.
It could be built to today's high safety standards. Some cars, like this one are such design classics that they should never go out of production. Companies do go on selling retro vintage models and car companies should be doing the same.
Tolle Arbeit! Leider fehlt dem Fahrzeug sein authentischer Altwagen Duft und Aussehen. Es ist jetzt ein Neuwagennachbau kein Oldtimer. Vielleicht wollte der Besitzer es so haben.Übrigens nächstes Mal die vorderen Radlager nicht ungefettet einbauen. Ist zwar dreckig, aber wenn man mit der Schönheit fahren will,dann ist das besser.
