Absolute garbage,.. I wouldn't take a new one if they gifted me one. In the eighties and nineties the 3 series was a driving "religious experience", it was considered "driving-porn", a "delight to the senses". The seduction started when you stepped in and turned the key and nothing happened,.. is the engine on? you pressed the gas pedal you could see the RPM needle going up and down, so it "is" on, wow.. You could not tell because there no vibrations of noise of any kind anywhere?. As you put it in gear and went forward the car again, would not move, but if you looked outside the window you could see that the 'world' was moving, ahh. yes we "are" moving. It went on from there with a silky smooth linear steady rev up the RPM range throttle response that was instant and robust delivery... ahhh the handling kicked ass!. how I miss that, it rolled with the certainlyt of a gigantic chrome ball on a sheet of glass coated with oil ! a ridiculous mix of sensations, how is this possible?. by the time the day was over you were ready to erect a church to this car and start worshiping it! lol Fast Forward to today's 3 series, you turn it on and there are so many vibrations from the engine you think OMG they forgot to tighten the engine mounts ! no.. that's the way they build them today, you start to drive and no, nothing special here, engine revs up abruptly and clumsily, it feels like a 1984 Ford Tempo, just shinier and lots of leather and electronic gizmos inside to distract you from the fact its a piece of junk. By the time the day is over you are ready to drive this disgusting drone thing off a cliff. What happened??, the real engineers and designers retired and died, this new generation is "clueless" and now they are in control, they lack pride in craftsmanship their previous generation did, they destroyed the company. Sad but true.

You’ll never have it back( as it is expensive to produce), the Company has to meet its profit targets...hence the cheaper to produce new one...

@@amir2ification Its not expensive, quality is actually cheaper and more profitable, always has been, Dr Deming proved that with the Japanese miracle. It's a matter of priorities, the generation that used to make the old 3 series is retired of dead. The new kids on the block do not put quality or how a car feels is important. Its a matter of pride of craftsmanship and priorities, not to mention arrogance and stupidity.
