I don't have the slightest intention of buying a premium brand car in the foreseeable future and yet I like to watch your in-depth reviews.

I have to admit I was expecting some more room in the trunk with the touring version... Apart from that and the prices this car reaches with the extras, I found it really impressive and sporty!

Respect Thomas, making for us a car review on that day with a temperature of 34,5°C. The all new BMW 330d xDrive is my favorite car to drive on the autobahn and on the mountain passes.

picked an E46 Touring, and suggest any used wagon buyer get the six cylinder version. I'm off to find a 330 ZHP motor is the 325 motor ever fails. I'm studying the mpg and delighted to see the needle stay dead between 30-50. I wasn't a fan of the 4 cylinder motors, although Turbo not smooth!

Station wagons simply look so much better and as for proper drivers, they drive better than SUVs.

Not much difference from the f31, specially the engines (they are the same). I would say the f31 looks even better, with more aggressive front, and the smaller grills. The biggest difference is inside, the gauges are now digital (no thanks) and new multimedia. Doesn't prove so big difference in price, so I'll stay with mine f31 and finish my project. But nice review, I'll turn the Subscribe on👍

Interesting. I have had a succession of 3 series diesel estates, and in March traded in my 2016 335d x drive M sport touring for a 330i M sport saloon (G20). The 330i is definitely a more engaging drive, but I miss the torque of the 335d, but overall I am happy with the change. Your point about sound deadening is spot on - the saloon is far quieter than the touring!

Outstanding review, i am in love with this car and thinking to trade in my Mercedes 220d for this. It is a sport diesel with 6 cylinders twin turbo, enough space and comfort to drive from Amsterdam to Croatia in summer and it is a very handsome car also and this color is fabulous 🤭

So, which is better or balance, compared to A4 facelift🤔

It’s looking like a 5er with 50cm chopped out of the length. The 3 used to have a look all of it’s own. Still, I’d buy a 330D Touring if I could justify the upgrade from my e91 320D Touring. 👍

Am I right when I say that the daytime running lights in the front in the base model look like cups (no angel eyes) and that this is done on purpose, as this looks much uglier than the laser light day time lights?

I was really interested in the G21 when I heard it would be released just when I would sell my F30. And I am looking for an estate/stationwagon now, but it'll surely not be a G21... sadly. I owned an M-Performance (full spec with Alcantara, HUD, everything from M-Technik etc.) version of the F30 saloon for three years until two weeks ago. I loved the way the BMW was built, the way it looked inside and outside and how it handled. But the running costs for such a car drew me crazy, not because I couldn't afford it, but knowing any other non-premium car with similar power and equipment and a bit less looks and nice materials would be half the price to buy and run them too. Now with the G20/21 Series BMW finally managed to destroy the looks on the outside aswell. I don't know, I might be bitter because I loved my F30 so much and had to sell it. But that front end looks just wrong. Rather cheap too and for the first time I think the M-package looks worse than the stock. The headlights are just... well they look like those on a Toyota - and cheap. The rear just is a neutral car now, not really decided if it wants to be a BMW, Audi or Merc and maybe with the next Gen it'll just look like a flat Passat. The interior is nice though but you would hope that as the F30 was not a huge step from the E90 and that was 13 years ago. Can't really decide which one of the big three I would prefer there, I still love the feeling you get in a BMW cockpit. It all seems rather well put together and thought through, no tech-overkill, no retro-understatement, just about right. Also you lose SO MUCH MONEY with a german premium car. The depreciation rate is just insane. When my car was new it cost almost 60 grand, I had to sell it for 15 despite it was cherished like my own child and not had a single visible waterdrop on it. Compared to a Volvo V60 T4 which is only 40k new and still worth more than 25k after 5 years a german premium car is only for people who really don't care about the depreciation...

I like the whole redesign of this car. The dash is particularly well done imo. Very clean and efficiently organized. It's a shame it's not coming to Canada. (By the way, my cat saw your cat on your phone Thomas. He watches your videos with me. He's burmese.)

I don't care for BMW's (Unless its 5 series or 7) as I am a die-hard Audi, Porsche fan. HOWEVER. Whenever a 3 series combi passes by it always (and I mean always) turns my head. Well designed!!

3 and 5 series BMW touring is the car that looks really annoying in sport, normal luxury trims but looks amazing in M bodykit and trim. However. M trim of this one looks like luxury, not like a M. Previous gens looks way better. BWM should make 3.40i, xdrive and AWD (RWD based proper AWD system like new M 5) real M3 version of this car. Even in M trim, this car still looks like 50 Years old women's shiny bag. This car need more masculine exterior trim, design and performance. Touring version of the 3 series doesn't make any negative effect over the handling of the car but usually looks way better than sedan, has much more usable space, can be family car as well as a performance car, with proper M trim, proper exterior design and AWD it is one of the best all around performance, family, sport, utility car that you can buy. However, BWM annoyingly trying to keep this car as boring as it possible. Make the pğroper real M version of this car and give it a real M body kit and masculinity. There are already feminine BMW cars such as X1, X2 etc. why to turn this car into a boring old women's old frump!

Unfortunately, the front seats are too narrow. Thin people like Thomas fit into them. I'm not "HUGE". I weigh 90 kg. and measures 180 in height, and the seats squeeze me hard on the sides of my thighs. It's too bad, and a HUGE mistake at BMW .....

I wouldn't buy this for the world, I don't trust BMW's reliability at all. These cars look great and drive great but they are built to break so that the customer pays absurd amounts of money to fix. The freaking F30 had steering rack problems, the stupid timing chain was never a thing that you could rely on no matter if it was a diesel of petrol(especially petrol ones which are notorious for the problem, the high pressure fuel pump fails on cars with low mileage and destroys the injectors also, all sorts of sealing gaskets, sensor problems and of course, electrical problems(door locks, modules,etc). It's great while it goes but that doesn't last long and then it will become your worst nightmare in order to fix the damn thing. I really don't think the G20 is any better.

for this kind highly spec BMW 3 you could buy house with pool in Spain or Florida

The basic problem is that the 3 series in any version, now looks so dated and uninspiring. Please can BMW wake up somebody in the Styling Department and ask if they have ANY new ideas that just might look a bit different...just try to do some work instead of collecting the wages!!!

Might be the perfect car. I'd take that over an SUV any day of the week. Only problem... way overpriced

Hey guys, I just wondering if you have to lift up the upper window of the trunk door manually the first centimeters? I mean, is it possible to open that window by pressing the button at the key, as it realized in 5 series touring?

Thanks for this nice review for the nice brand, since now I didn't comprehend the advantages of station cabin over sedan. What i know is this style doesn't exposes the beauty of design contrary to your opinion where you said this is more sporty. In Mercedes the station recalls me ambulance or in worsen case cemetery cars😂

Hmm, interesting. The touring has additional contrast stitching at the top of the door panel and galvanized buttons. I do not recall those features in the sedan version. Why is that?

I plan to buy a plugin hybrid end next year due to the development as we see in Stuttgart and other cities. I think you should focus a bit more on this in your upcoming reviews. What do you think?
