Leider ja. Aber selbst ein Honda oder Toyota werden endlose Probleme machen, wenn man als Besitzer sich nicht an die ordnungsgemäße Wartungen hält. Ölwechsel sollte ohne Ausreden alle 10 T Kilometer mit passendem Öl (idealerweise Castrol oder Mobil) gemacht werden. Aber auch Sachen wie Zündkerzen sollten spätestens alle 2 Jahre kontrolliert werden. Wenn man irgendwelche unnormalen Geräusche hört, vor allem beim Kaltstart, Ruckeln oder unnormale Geräusche bei 1000 - 3000 Umdrehungen pro Minute, sollte man sich direkt darum kümmern und nicht erst nachdem die Motorkontrolleuchte Alarm macht. Wenn man diese einfachen Sachen befolgt, kann wirklich jedes Auto locker eine halbe Million Kilomter problemlos fahren.

Hi there. Thank you for your comment. If you are looking for an accurate answer regarding the exact number of specific models produced, I would suggest searching at BMW Group´s reports. My knowledge is that for the E92 Coupé and especially E93 Cabriolet, the number of the 318i were extremely low and only for European markets. There were quite a lot 2 Litre 318i for the E90 sedan and E91 Touring between 2007 and 2012, but for the Coupé and Cabriolet, it was offered only after 2010 until 2013 for the Facelift period. Fact is that customers wanted more powerful engines for the Coupé and Carbriolet, which is why not many 318i were produced for them. There are a lot of 320i for the Coupé and Cabriolet though, it is basically the same 2L 4-cylinder engine. The 2L 318i is just a power-reduced engine with 143 ps istead of 170 ps. But as I mentioned, it is worth looking up in the reports to see how many units were actually produced. I might also have a look and let you know here. Best Regards ;)
