im going to try this out also good vid. i do have wastegate rattle tho , would that affect anything ? my boost solenoids are buzzing so im tracking the issue
It can if it is really bad, some adjust the wastegate positioning with a JB4. Some also put light duty springs to stop the rattle. Definitely a hard spot to reach! I would make sure you have good vacuum suction on the wastage fist though like this video, I ended up finding out that my back turbo hose split off.
So that solenoid is broken, the plastic nipple where you pulled the hose from the boost solenoid. The other one works, and I’m running 7” intercooler tial bov chargepipe ect. I plan to replace it because I notice when driving I’m not getting a lot of boost and my bov wouldn’t work well so I assumed vaccume leak. And that’s what it is because of that broken peice. I capped it off, put angolf tee in the old one and sealed it and capped off the line, I plan to redo all my vaccume lines and hopefully that will solve it, along with a new boost solenoid. Do you have a brand pref? Who makes the OEM on? 2008 bmw 335xi N54. Thanks!
