I just did mine rear muffler delete. Love the deep sound and doesn’t sound like a fart can. Has great induction and exhaust balance. It’s awesome. No drone at all. It’s perfect.

It will still be loud in comfort because the exhaust valve actuating doesn't redirect it through the muffler. I have an M-Sport with the exhaust valve and i plan on having two Y connections made so that in comfort mode the stream mainly goes the muffler but with the exhaust valve open the exhaust stream will flow through the new lines and past the muffler. Basically how it is for the vehicles with MPPSK

Resonators keep away deeper tones, it's the other way around. Hence the definition.

Did your Cel come on since the plug for the valves aren’t on anymore?

The plug that controls the valves is still plugged in so no CEL

@garchomp889 if unplug the flap there is a cel, but it doesn’t show on the dash, but if you scan for cels/codes w/BimmerLink, Carly or anything else it will show, if you erase it, it will com back. With BimmerLink you can have it open all the time, but you must leave the dongle plugged in, I don’t like that unless I’m logging so I just unplugged it and if you go in for service at the stealership you just plug it back in.

Yeah it’s lowered on H&R super sport springs and the wheels Front - 18x8.5 (Wheels) 235/40 (Tires) +35 Offset Rear - 18x9.5 (Wheels) 255/40 (Tires) +35 Offset

If there is no muffler, does the flap do anything? Whether the flap is open or closed, the exhaust is still going through straight pipe, so does it actually do anything for sound?

The flap isn’t located in the muffler. It’s located in the driver side exhaust exit. And there are still 2 resonators located in the mid pipe so it isn’t straight piped. So yes the flap does affect the sound when it’s opened or closed

@@Metoy3r yeah to each their own, I personnaly absolutely love the deep growl that glasspack gives, some of the best sounding custom exhaust I heard had these. Similar to a muffler delete but a bit less violent. There is no soundclip of B58 with glasspacks to my knowledge, very curious about it.

Nope got KN drop in high flow air filter and put 18x8 1/2 wheels with 245/40/18 Michelin pilot super sport tires

Ok so first, the exhaust “tips” are just that. They come off so you could have just kept the original muffler how it is, welded new pipe then put those tips on the new piping. Now you ruined the OEM muffler. Second, the flap is part of that drivers side section you cut off of the oem muffler so your ignorance paid off in retaining that part lol

Unfortunately you are misinformed. I still have a flap that I am able to open and close. And i didn’t ruin the muffler because I don’t have one. Thanks for your concern
