Nice and easy job, Unsightly tow bar hookup and electrical point removed as I have no use for it. Now restoring the clean back end look of the 5 series.
Tools needed:
8mm socket, Ratchet.
T30 Bit
Flat blade screwdriver.
17mm socket with breaker bar and ratchet for tow bar brace.
Pliers and or screwdriver for plastic pop bung pieces underneath.

you guys forgot to put a vertical metal (as found on cars without towbar) bar on before putting the bumper back on car

Yes, did say in the video at the time that the bumper would have to come back off as didn’t realise it was one or the other (towbar or crash bar)

Nice video mate, very easy to understand, have you considered doing a video on how to remove fenders on the e60? Cheers

Hey sir, you seem to know things about this. Is it possible from the inside of the car screw out the two screws that are holding the lock when you have trunk locked? My truck is locked so bad, that I can´t open it even with a key. so I thought about screwing out the two screws holding that metal piece and then proceed with fixing the harness and replacing the lock. Thank you in advance! Great video!

Hi, possibly have a bent latch so now won’t release the boot. Not had this problem myself and don’t own this car anymore in reference to latch design sadly. Lubricant in key hole and allowing to soak may free up key barrel. First thing I’d try, before resorting to drilling out.

What’s the part # that the bottom of the diffuser connects to? I just bought a m tech rear bumper but the diffuser doesn’t have a spot to screw in at the bottom

I didn’t have the ball end piece, didn’t need to tow anything also so decided to remove.
